Super place by Ashvem Beach

ĪKȘĀ - Sanskrit eekshaa for “sight” or “view” - is a little place just off the Ashwem Beach in Goa. It’s close enough to little trinket shops, convenience stores, massage parlours and eateries, and yet tucked one street away from the beach road to provide a measure of peace and quiet. Sunny, the owner, was regularly in contact, and closer to arrival put us in touch with the on-site manager, Pedro, who was super helpful with all manner of information from checking us in to being available via WhatsApp to help with many little queries. We were not charged beforehand, but upon arrival were requested to make payment in cash - this was apparently necessitated by their online payment system being down. We didn’t have this large sum in cash, so had to find money changers and make arrangements for payment in instalments.   Our room was clean and spacious, with simple, basic furniture. The view out the balcony was beautiful, lush greenery. Sliding windows would have allowed for plenty of ventilation, but we kept them closed for fear of mosquitoes - perhaps some sort of netting would’ve helped. There is a wardrobe for clothes, but a little more railing space, either by way of fixed railings on walls or clothes horses, would’ve helped us hang towels and such.   The splendid Vidya and Vaishali are a husband-and-wife duo who take care of housekeeping and hospitality. Rooms are cleaned and linen changed upon request. Laundry service is also available upon request for a modest additional fee. Vaishali’s breakfasts are a simple, sumptuous fare: fruit, toast, tea/coffee, eggs to order, and other Indian staples such as poha and upma. Breakfast is served between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. - great if you like lazy mornings, but not always convenient if you want to set out early. We also managed to hire a scooter from Vidya for a pretty reasonable fee.  Overall, a great, no-fuss, budget-friendly place, close to the beach, and staffed by lovely people providing a chilled vibe.

The stay was comfortable but the evening closure of restaurant was a bad experience.

Liked the cleanliness, size of the room, the balcony. The location of the hotel suited us.

The restaurant unexpectedly was closed in the evening and we had to go out to have our dinner. Extremely uncomfortable after a tiring day. The hotel manger failed to even inform us that the restaurant will be closed. We were told later that it as the chef''s birthday and everyone was off with him to celebrate, in the process closing the restaurant and the bar. In fact there was no one in the hotel to even inform us the reason for the closure. Most unprofessional, I would say.

Warm and welcoming staff, delicious breakfast, great value for money

Staff is very friendly, welcoming and accomodating. Rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is delicious. Overall, Iksa is great value for money and would highly recommend it to individuals or couples who want to explore Goa.

Communication could be improved, but didn't bother me too much given the nice time I've had here.

IKSA has a really chill and safe vibe, the owner Sunny who was hosting us is one of the most hospitable people I have ever met. We were two girls travelling and our utmost comfort was taken care of.

A pleasure with warm, fuzzy feels in my heart.

We loved EVERYTHING. The staff were the most kind humans on this planet. They were so helpful with recommendations, helping us get around, and even ensuring that we had our dietary preferences met for breakfast. The space was clean, easily accessible, welcoming, homey, and just overall FANTASTIC.

Not a thing. It was all wonderful.

Bright, beachy guest house perfect for digi nomads, groups and off season

Close to the beach but tucked away from the clubs, bright and cheery, simple and economical but still had everything I needed. Fast wifi on multiple channels, backup power, AC and fan, geyser, desk and fridge in the room. They are brand new and building out the restaurant and loft space as well—most days it feels like a blossoming co-working studio with space to hang and play. Staff is absolutely fabulous (they are friends).

Sunny, Priyanka and her husband were so friendly and helpful! they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome :) the room was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay!

The location is good - walking distance from the beach. Very near you also have a spot to get moto nor car taxi. The staff is very nice and helpful.
