The best part about staying here was the warmth, help, and kindness of Cindi and the rest of the family. This is basically a guesthouse -- Cindi's mother and father-in-law own the house and rent out several of the rooms, and breakfast is served in their dining room. I stayed here twice during my stay at Lake Atitlan - at the beginning and end of my 4-day trip there, in a room with 2 large beds, a private bathroom, and a large terrace (with great volcano views!) on the 3rd floor. Clean sheets, towels, and 2 bottles of water were provided as well. A fantastic breakfast was served both days I stayed (one day a more typical Guatemalan breakfast: fried egg, black beans, fruit/sweet plantains (if I remember correctly) and bread or tortillas; and on the other day they served American pancakes and cut up fruit). On my last night there, Cindi's father-in-law (I'm sorry but I don't remember his name) took me to the center of town on his motorcycle to drop me at 7 Caldos, an upscale-ish chain serving traditional Guatemalan cuisine. He didn't have to do this, but really went out of his way to do it. Muchas gracias por todo!

While the location is not centrally located, it was well located for the shuttle buses that go between Panajachel and Antigua and Guatemala City (the shuttle buses literally pass right in front of the guesthouse on their way in and out of the center of town), so this was great! The price for value was also a bit higher staying a bit further out of the center, so I was glad I stayed there. While there was hot water whenever I showered, the water pressure was not strong and could use some adjustment.

The hosts at the location were really nice and helpful. The accommodation is clean and comfortable but probably needs a lick of paint and some TLC. It is situated a little bit out of town and in view it is a solid overall rating of good.
