The host met me at the door and gave me a tour. The host was funny--teasing me about there being no toilet during my tour. Luckily I knew that French w/cs are often in a separate room.
The location was fortuitous, directly across the street from my daughter's new apartment as she started grad school in Orsay. It's centrally located in the Saclay Plateau and convenient enough to get anywhere you want to in about 20 minutes.
We had rented a mid-size SUV and found parking easily on the street.
The bed and pillows were comfortable enough. I appreciated the powerful fan.
I loved the full-length balcony once I opened the metal shutter, which let in great light and allowed the studio to air out quickly. I appreciated the powerful fan. Overall, though, the studio was comfortable and cooled off quickly during a moderately hot week.
Despite looking a bit run down, the place was quite clean with the exception of the kitchen towels and sponge.
I had enough towels and toilet paper for my short stay.
The host explained that a previous tenant had broken the kitchen window so it could not be closed and locked. He hadn't had time to repair it. As a solo woman traveler, that made me a bit nervous, but the metal shutter seemed secure enough.
The key situation was confusing--which key went to which lock, the direction to turn it and the number of turns to unlock it, which lock to unlock first. The first time I tried to get in on my own took about 10 minutes of trial and error. It would be helpful to have some sort of written instructions and color-coded keys in the instruction. During my 16 days in France, I did learn that every French door has a secret handshake for getting it open, but this was a bit frustrating.
The bedsheet was so uncomfortable due to the texture--it was quite worn out and nubby--that I had to buy a new one to use during my stay. Luckily my daughter had the same full bed size so I gave it to her when I checked out.
The studio has a strong odor of onions and something else. Once I opened the huge balcony doors, it aired out a bit, but it never quite went away.
The kitchen sink had a very dirty sponge and dish towel that led me to question the kitchen cleanliness. That was probably an oversight. The inside of the fridge was dirty.

J'ai prévenu le propriétaire de mon arrivée et dans les 5 minutes il était là pour donner le clés et faire l'état des lieux d'entrée ... tous les ustensiles étaient en bonnes état de marche.
La salle de bain peut-être un peu vieillotte avec un robinet de lavabo sans mitigeur et le rideau de douche pas très propre sur le bas.

Emplacement géographique
Un ménage plus approfondi serait à prévoir : tartre sur robineterie et sanitaires, aération sdb à dépoussiérer, four encrassé et très usagé non utilisable, pas suffisament de produits d'entretien.....

L'appartement est plutôt bien situé
Le propriétaire est cordial
La tranquillité des lieux
La propreté du logement surtout des ustensiles et équipement de cuisine qui sont presque tous à remplacer !
On a peur de faire à manger ou boire dans un verre.
Le matelas en fin de vie (il creuse au milieu.)
Le canapé-lit qui mérite également un nettoyage
La poussière dans l'appartement
Pour toutes ces raisons, je ne comprends pas les frais de nettoyage !
