Very friendly host. Property is easy to access and even though you are on the same property as the host, you do feel like you are totally alone. They even have electric blankets on the bed for the extra cool nights. The host even made a booklet mentioning all the restaurants in the town with all their details regarding style of cuisine and trading hours. This made it very easy to decide where to go.

Everything. Pure bliss. All the creature comforts were there. Whenever I thought of something and looked for it, it was there. Leo's (the owner) brother, Ridge received us, took us to the apartment, explained everything we needed to know. The little booklet about Riebeek-Wes was a welcome read and the self-compiled info brochure about the origin of the name "Tuinhekkie" also made for good reading. The privacy and the fact that the apartment is adjacent to main house contributed to the general feel-good feeling: private enough not to be in anyone's face or space. The Tuinhekkie is a hidden gem. There was also filtered water in the fridge, as well as milk. Tea, coffee (freshly ground and instant) were also at hand, sugar, as well as the diabetic sort, which came in handy, as my husband is diabetic. The Shower-to-Shower body wash - a massive bottle to boot- made for a restful sleep. We will have to stay a week, next time, so that I can finish all the titles of the books available. I started with "The tenth circle", by Jodie Picault, but the shower gel did its work and I just floated away.... and then there was the little carafe of sherry.... yea, I know I am waxing lyrical.... but the attention to detail is truly refreshing and out of this world.

Ruime accommodatie met mooie vogelrijke tuin met zwembad.
De wasmachine en de mooie uittrekbare waslijnen buiten waren een pré.
Op loopafstand van winkels en restaurantjes.
Er was een picknicktafel buiten. Een paar comfortabele stoelen erbij is aan te raden.
Ook zou het fijn zijn om binnen de koffers op een standaard te kunnen plaatsen.

Room is neat, comfortable and secluded. The beautiful garden and chirping birds in the morning were a bonus.
