We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and other rentals over the past 38 years and this condo is one of, if not the best we have stayed in. We come to the bi-annual volleyball tournament in April and October each year, and we have stayed in most of the area accommodations, but this unit is in a class of its own.
Pro’s:
-The parking garage guaranteed that we always had a place for our vehicle even though all other parking lots in the area were overflowing.
-The check-in process was ridiculously easy.
-The condo was one of the cleanest we have ever experienced
-Both the master and guest room had king beds, which made it feel like having two master suites.
-The kitchen appliances and washer and dryer were modern and highly functional
-The balcony (where we spent a ton of time) was comfortable and had a fantastic view.
-The tub and shower in the master suite were excellent
-Access to the beach was super convenient
- Speaking of the beach - it was absolutely beautiful!
-The whole condominium complex was relaxed and quiet
- We were within walking distance of several restaurants
- There were plenty (!) of towels and extra bedding.
- The pool, hot tub and kiddie pool were very nice
- The checkout process was the easiest we have encountered (literally take out the trash and load and start dishwasher. Period!)
Cons:
- We had to eventually return to the real world

This unit was accurately described in the listing. It was very comfy with a great location and sunset views. Beautifully decorated and the patio furniture was comfy as well. It was well stocked and had a super nice washer/dryer set up. Large TVs in every room.
The resort is very nice. It was too cold for us to enjoy the pools. I will say the beach is very crowded with families which is expected with a resort this size. However, if that’s not your vibe think twice. Also people line up 2 hours early for prime beach chair selection.

We've stayed at the Destin West Resort I believe 13-14 times now (all on the Gulf side) and this condo was awesome! The updates the owners have done are very well done and the decor is amazing. They were very detailed. I would say that this is the nicest unit that we've every stayed at in this resort.
Chris was awesome to work with. He made it very easy to check in/out and his communication was great!
We love staying at this resort due to all the different activities that is in walking distance. You just don't get that at any other location. Things such as; pools, lazy river, ocean, we even go catch crabs and critters in the bay, walk to the pier, rent pontoon boats, walk to the Boardwalk to eat, the beach bar next door, mini golf across the street, etc. Again, so much to do right there, and without the crowds of Destin!

Let me start off by saying I don’t give reviews but this condo is beautiful. Very very clean. I did not have to do any touch up cleaning as I have had to do with other properties. Plenty of towels and wash clothes, which I appreciated. Pictures on the website are spot on. Communication with Chris and the property management was great. The property was clean as well. Pools cleaned every day and there was always someone blowing the walk ways off. The beach was beautiful and not very crowded.. I will be back to this condo!!

Not sure I would call this a 3 bedroom. The room with bunk beds does not have a door. The TV in the living room didn’t work, we called several times, property manger was not responsive. It claims to be a non smoking facility, but people smoked on the balconies. :(

This condo is amazing! We thought of a last minute trip to the beach and grabbed this listing! Condo has been renovated and is beautiful! The pictures are spot on. The location to the beach, lazy river, and other amenities at the resort were phenomenal. The condo was spacious for our family of seven and my sons especially enjoyed the bunk beds and extra beach toys. The amount of towels were a plus for us and the pools were wonderfully kept. Overall, my family and I will be returning to this listing! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Chris was great to work with, very responsive. The property was recently renovated, upgraded, and clean. Wonderful view of the beautiul pool and the ocean from the balcony. Very large fitness center directly below on the first floor, all the machines and loose weights for every muscle group. Free beach chair and umbrella service was a big deal, as we used it every day. Walked across the breezway over to the bayside and flopped in the lazy river several times, very nice. We've stayed at Destin West three times now and always leave wishing we have booked a longer stay. Condo 606 is fantastic, and we rate Chris and team at 5 stars. Thank you very much!

Over the last 5 years we have stayed at multiple units at Destin West Gulf and Ocean Condos but never at this specific unit. This unit was by far the best experience we have had. Check in was a BREEZE! Communication was quick and seamless. Beach service-included! The condo was perfect, it had everything we needed for our stay. May be silly to mention but the amount of towels for showering was awesome! We never ran out with a family of 5. Can’t wait to go back next year!

This place was perfect! Exactly what the description stated!! The beach was unbelievable and was so nice to stay so close to the beach and have an incredible view! Perfect white soft sand with crystal clear ocean water! This was our first time staying in this part of Florida and won’t be our last!

This property was perfect for our group. Just steps to the beach and also the boardwalk area. We enjoyed the lazy river area too but loved that we rented this side of the resort! It was perfect for our group of 8 to decide what to do on a whim without a long walk to get to the boardwalk. Our only problem with the unit was we couldn't get the toaster to stay down to make toast and the beds were a little too firm...but that have just been my preference for a softer bed type. Otherwise, it was perfect!

My family had a girls beach vacay! We loved the location and cleanliness of the condo. Just a short walk down the boardwalk to the beach. There were more than enough towels provided for everyone. The lazy river was very fun and the kids loved that the pool lights changed colors.

Our group of 7 stayed at this beautiful condo for 5 nights. We loved sitting by the ocean - the umbrella and chair service was such a nice convenience. The teens really enjoyed the pool and the lazy river. My 80 year old parents loved sitting on the balcony outside the master bedroom - there’s both a view of the ocean and the large pool below. Make sure to wait for the beautiful sunsets!
The kitchen has all the appliances and tools you need to cook for a large family. (We grocery shopped at Publix down the street - it was super clean and the sales associates are friendly.)
This condo is truly enjoyable - linens were clean and beds comfortable.
Our teens would recommend the snorkeling and dolphin cruise with the Original Destin Sea Blaster - they had fun and watching yhe sunset on the water was amazing.

We had a great vacation which was only possible by having great accommodations. The unit was very well stocked with essentials. When we had a maintenence issue they had a professional out the very same day to address it.

Wonderful trip! Extremely clean rental. Great time at the pools, hot tubs and beach. Loved having the chair rental. Loved having heated pools. In the past we have stayed on a lower floor - the upper floor was a much better view of the ocean. Was so nice to walk to restaurants from the property.

Perfect place for a getaway, great view of the gulf and pool. The property was clean and ready for us on arrival. The communication was great. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay - including dishwasher soap, laundry soap, paper towel and garbage bags, something you really appreciate after you stay places that do not include those items.

Property was very clean and matched the pictures perfectly. Met every one of my expectations when I arrived. We had a smaller group of four people and didn't have any problems with space. This unit could easily accommodate more.
Check in process was very easy. I received all the information ahead of time, and never felt like I was in the dark on anything.
The location of this property is great. There is so much to do within walking distance. The beach is a short elevator ride away, and there is a boardwalk with shops/restaurants/coffee shop like five minutes down the beach.

We enjoyed the resort on the gulf side as well as the bay side! The abundance of pools was great and the beach was right out our back door. This was a great stay for our teenager and younger kids. I would recommend staying here with so much to do near the resort. The Gulfarium, mini golf, arcade, pier, and the Boardwalk were all a walk away.

Spacious condo with all the thoughtful amenities. You can't beat Destin West for location & amenities. The balcony gives you a great ocean view including sunset & the walkway (or 2nd bedroom & bunk room windows) gives you the beautiful sunrise views. A bit hard to find the best unloading spot but if you go around the parking garage to the far east driveway there's a convenient circle drive for unloading for the Gulfside villas (use the park ng garage for the Villas building). The heated pool was like bath water (under the overhang of the Villas building so very convenient to Gulfside elevators). The large Gulfside pool is too chilly in the winter but enjoyed the large hot tub. We popped over to the Bayside but the lazy River is just too cold for winter months. Enjoyed heated pool & hot tubs over there in the tropical oasis feel of the bay side buildings. Highly recommend this unit for 6 people or 8 if they don't mind the fold out sofa.

Will rent Kimberly Lang properties only from now on. Can expect an excellent stay. Condo was very clean and everything in perfect order. Decorated beautifully. Games and some dvds provided. Cable with HBO. Plenty of towels and beach towels, soap, toiletries, extra sheets, and even deodorant was provided. Self check in with door code. Property manager checked in on us via text and was responsive throughout our stay. Glad we chose beachside as it is a difficult walk from the bay side with a wheelchair. Sunset view of the Gulf was great from this room. Our kids slept great with plenty of space away from eachother. Would choose this condo again, but already booked another Kim Lang property for next year on groundfloor that has easy wheelchair access that we were able to "scope out" while we were there. This was our best beach vacation yet.

We loved the view. Being able to sit on the balcony and see the gulf and pool is great. It's also easy to get down to the beach. We like this facility because we can walk down the beach to multiple restaurants. We had a few issues with codes to the marina not working, and the wifi does not reach the balcony. When we reached out to the Property Management company the reply was "that's an HOA thing" a lot of blaming of the HOA. That's not professional even if it's true. It seems the wifi is older and focused on the front door area, and seemed to be ok inside most of the place, yet being able to work on the balcony would be expected in 2021. Also, the codes should be accurate and not take days to get a reply when messaged about.

We had a great time and a lot of it had to do with where we stayed. Very clean, quiet, and very accessible to the beach and pools. Will definitely be back. Only downside is traffic but it’s a tourist destination so just plan ahead and leave early to certain state beaches and excursions.
