Nice host, comfy sheets and clean area

The owner is super nice! I think they are building another building so more units which is great! I thought the room had a private bathroom but you share it with 2 other rooms so just to take that into consideration (not a bad thing at all, the toilet was ALWAYS clean!!. The location is good, no noise so you can rest, very quiet!!

Agréable pour un séjour de courte durée

La chambre était propre et les lits confortables On pouvait se servir en bas des boissons fraiches dans un frigo pour un léger supplément, très abordable et bien pratique après une longue journée Nous avons pu laisser nos sacs une journée et partir visiter San Juan avant de revenir les chercher et partir sur San Pedro, très pratique

L'emplacement indiqué sur Booking ne correspond pas tout à fait (c'est situé à 3 minutes de l'emplacement indiqué mais nous n'avons eu aucune indication et avons du tourner une heure en demandant à une dizaine de personnes s'ils connaissent l'endroit en leur montrant les photos mais aucune photo ne montrait la facade extérieure ou le portail donc personne ne connaissait l'endroit, aucune signalétique n'était inclus). Heureusement, après 1h à tourner en rond et sans réponse sur booking, nous avons appelé la personne sur WhatsApp et elle est venue nous chercher à l'église du village. Un chantier est en construction en face du bâtiment dans la cour et a démarré à 8h du matin, il ne faut pas prévoir de grasse matinée mais pour visiter San Juan et se lever tôt, c'est agréable.

really nice family and nice to have a kitchen. Just a little noisy. Felt very safe though

it was so close to the downtown weaving and shopping area of San Juan de Laguna. It was very safe but the dogs barked all night

Lovely lovely lovely

Perfect for hiking indian nose. The place is exactly where Google says it is but the owner came and got me anyway to walk me. Despite the language barrier she was super helpful. They have some construction going on in the yard so there's a few people about and some noise but not really a big deal. Great location, but a tough walk with your stuff from the boat. I had no idea about the San Juan hill. I was able to use the kitchen and the fridge and the roof too. Super comfy and clean bed, really great room for just myself.

No hot water :( and the roof is being worked on right now. I didn't mind because you can still sit up there, but some cushions for the seats would be great.

A welcoming place!

It was a pleasure to stay here, the bed it was very comfortable and the family very welcoming. I felt like being part of the family. I was working as well so the internet was good. And the view from the terrace is wonderful! I enjoyed staying on the terrace in every moment of the day or night. Very close to the center, shops and Mirrador Cerro.

Sometimes it can be noisy a bit because of the motorcycles that are passing or tuk-tuks. You may hear the neighbors cats in the night and sometimes people talking on the street. I don't see it as an issue but worth mentioning that is in the city not near lake or forest to have more quietness.

it’s nice but you won’t find it by yourself

it’s a good value for the money, the host is very relaxed and friendly

getting to the place is impossible because the name is not on Google maps. Also, the address leads to the wrong place and gps coordinates are wrong, you need to call the lady to show you the way

Great value, warm, welcoming & very friendly!

The owners Liliana & Domingo were super-friendly, welcoming and helpful! They are sharing their home - including their kitchen! 💗 and make you feel very welcome all the time. Liliana even came and met me in the town to show me the way to their place. My room was a really good size, comfy double bed, and a nice hammock outside - also some sweet cats come to visit each day. The rooftop has amazing views across the lake and it's perfect for sunrise! Also, when I explained I would stay 2 nights not 3 they were totally fine about it (nothing to do with their hostal, just that the town of San Juan is bigger & noisier than I expected!) And the other guests were really friendly too! 😸

My particular room was on the ground floor, and the alleyway at the back had motorbikes etc going past a lot including at night...So it was pretty noisy - also i think it's because it was the weekend...(And so no views from my room because I wanted privacy at street level!) But they have more rooms upstairs and i saw one which was smaller than mine but still nice, and it had a lovely lake view! So next time, i would try to get that room! I also just have one little suggestion for the room: it would be great to have a little bedside table...But still it was fine really!

Very good

The hosts were very kind, welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable, and I was very happy to have a desk to work from during my time there. Lovely view of the lake from the rooftop.

Check in was a little confusing because we had to arrange to meet near the property and there wasn’t a very clear address for the property - my phone wasn’t connecting at the time and so I wasn’t very sure what to do or where to go. Thankfully one of the locals assisted me to where I needed to be.

entrepreneurial Mayan family welcomed us to their home.

very responsive, helpful, accommodating owner. Right in the middle of town so easy walk to everything. she made the family kitchen available so we could make tea when we wanted. could experience local life.

bathroom sink could use a good scrub. otherwise it was quite clean.

Great location, welcoming family

Wow Liliana and her family were so warm and welcoming. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and even helped me to remove a splinter in my finger! She made us coffee every morning and let us use the kitchen whenever we wanted. Excellent location close to main square. Beautiful views from rooftop. Overall very happy with our stay and grateful to Liliana and Domingo for looking after us so well.

It can get very noisy at night (dogs/fireworks/vehicles) but this is outside of the hotel's control.
