Nice accommodation in a nice location. Great having the children's park just outside. Close to a great beach. Shop and eatery close as well.
The weather but you can't book that. Front door a bit stiff to close.

We absolutely loved the location and thought the park was fantastic for children. There was plenty for them to enjoy, and we had a really great time overall.
The nearby beach was lovely, and one of the things we really enjoyed was being able to walk along the beach into Filey, which takes around 30 minutes. It was a beautiful walk and made the location even better.
The lodge itself was lovely and comfortable, although there were a few things that could have been better.
Our 8-year-old absolutely loved his room, which was lovely to see and made the stay even more enjoyable for us.
Unfortunately, we found the mattress on the double bed quite uncomfortable.
The lodges have circular windows, and the one in the main bedroom didn't have any curtain or covering. This meant the room became very bright early in the morning, especially if you wanted to go to bed early and avoid being woken at around 5am. We ended up having to cover it ourselves, which worked but wasn't ideal.
We also found that the dryer setting on the washing machine didn't seem to work properly. The clothes actually came out wetter than they went in, so we weren't able to use it effectively.
Overall, we found the lodge clean when we arrived. However, both showers could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The obvious areas had been cleaned, but there were still some parts that were noticeably dirty.
One of our favourite features was the little hut at the back of the lodge, which had chairs and other items that you could take down to the beach. We thought this was a really thoughtful and useful touch.
The patio doors unfortunately broke on our second day, but the host was fantastic. They had someone round within just 15 minutes, and the problem was fixed very quickly.
One final point isn't really a complaint, as we knew what the patio area was like before booking, but it would have been fantastic if the patio area had been more enclosed or child-friendly.
