I arrived late at around 1am at 4 Sur Hotel and, even though the door was locked, I rang the bell and was quickly welcomed in. By the time I reached the second floor, I was greeted like family.
The reception staff spoke Spanish only, but we made it work easily with Google Translate — they were patient and kind the whole time. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and very clean. My room was modern, comfortable, and spotless.
Breakfast the next morning was a highlight. It’s served on the 6th floor with stunning mountain views. The host spoke English and went out of her way to explain all the food options — everything was fresh and delicious, and she made me feel right at home.
There’s also a small gym, mostly cardio-focused but with some free weights available, which is a nice bonus.
Overall, this is a beautiful, well-run boutique hotel with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it if you’re staying in Medellín.

4 Sur Hotel provides a comfortable and safe haven in Medellin. The hotel room was nice, classy and cozy with attention to detail kind of furnishings. The staff were very professional and helpful to customers and the breakfast served was decent in quality and quantity by way of a buffet.
