-It was a place that truly made you feel like you were in Bali and on a tropical holiday.
-My wife and I really loved it.
-The breakfast menu was very extensive.
-There was a barbecue and live music event one evening, which was also very enjoyable. Unfortunately, we couldn’t join the morning yoga session.
-It’s about a 30-minute drive from central Ubud, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service three times a day, both ways. A taxi via apps costs around €5 one way.
-The room and the hotel were very clean.
-The staff were very friendly and polite.
-There were times when it was difficult to find a sunbed around the shared pool
-A very narrow street starts about 50–100 meters before the hotel. Some taxi drivers don’t want to enter it or have difficulty finding the hotel. If the taxi refuses to enter the street, you may have to walk down that narrow street in the darkness, where there are usually barking pet dogs.

Big, spacious room with a nice Happy Honeymoon decor, as requested.
1. The website marketed the room with an outdoor bath, but the room we got didn't come with an outdoor bath. There was a bath tub, just not outside.
2. Room #22 (the room we got) is right next to the kitchen. It was extremely noisy when we first checked in. But the noise was temporary. It was peaceful & quiet at night and we managed to sleep through the night.
3. The room seems under-maintained. My husband stepped on a wood splinter in the room and it pierced into his skin. We had to ask for a first-aid kit. It was hazardous & dangerous.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the Happy Honeymoon decor! I booked 2 types of rooms at this resort and only requested honeymoon decor for the 2nd room. But Rumah Kayu Resort did it for both rooms which was so nice of them! The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive. Food at the restaurant was great and reasonably priced.
The only caution I'd give other guests is that the room has an open bathroom concept. They only provide shampoo and body wash. No hair conditioner.

Hands down one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at.
From the amenities to the staff. Diah and the girls from the restaurants were exceptionally kind and professional. The restaurant has many Balinese and Western options and is delicious. The room was spacious and the bed big and comfortable.
The staff from the reception made us feel like home every time we'd come back from an excursion. Shout out to Abi the intern for his smiles and help during our time there.
The pool is amazing and relaxing. The girls who gave us massages were excellent.
This hotel has everything you need. Good room, good restaurant open all day, AMAZING view and even better people taking care of you.
We will be recommending this place to everyone going to Bali.
