The host family there is lovely and made us feel at home and cooked the most wonderful and delicious food for us each night and put great care into ensuring that we could eat a variety of different local specialities. The location is a little far from the main beach and facilities such as transportation and shops, but because of this, it is very quiet and relaxing.

The mattress is maybe not the most supportive for someone of my stature (very tall and solid), but the bed is of a good size and I didn't feel cramped. I just would've preferred a harder mattress.

We loved our stay here! We got welcomed by the most amazing family we’ve met during our trip. Mom is an amazing cook, we were lucky enough to try breakfast, lunch and dinner. She asked us what we liked and made us the best homemade food (and lots of it!). Our room was great, spacious enough, bathroom was clean and water was perfect temperature for the heat we’ve experienced during the day. We slept with room that had a fan but along with open windows it was pretty good to sleep. The location is amazing, small walk to the best part of the beach (clean and almost no people) and if you prefer to try food outside of there homestay, everything is a walking distance. The older brother manages the communication with people that are staying and he helped us a lot! He arranged us tuk tuk to reach the pick up spot for backwaters on time (sunrise). My boyfriend joined younger brother for a badminton match and it was a great experience to spend time with them. Highly recommend this place!

They were extremely kind and helpful, their son picked me up from the trainstation at 1 a.m. and organised a canoe trip on the backwaters that was chill and good value. The homecooked dinner was absolutely delicious and the breakfast is bountiful as well. The location is peaceful, very close to the beach but it’s not such a nice beach in general. It was absolutely spotless and clean, very comfortable bed. Suggestion; Maybe some hangers or hooks for clothes would be great.

I would say that the tuc tuc they provide for getting anywhere is overpriced, so I wouldn’t rely on it for getting around if you need it a lot, it’s double of what I paid when getting a tuc tuc myself. Also the driver that they organised for me that drove me to Munnar after my stay, did not have a gps and I had to navigate myself. He also first drove me to the wrong bird sanctuary that I wanted to stop at on the way, even though I had sent the correct name ahead of time. after which I navigated the whole trip myself. It’s a detail, the homestay itself was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend staying there!

Located near to the Allapuzha beach (walking distance) and in a calm surrounding. The hosts are generous and very helpful.

There was no AC but the room is well ventilated and our stay turned to be super comfortable ( month- Dec)

Great location, close to the beach with good cafes and restaurants. The family are very accommodating and fun to stay with. Aakash is proactive with sorting out anything you need (tours, kayaks, tuktuk pick up etc). Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Also very flexible with keeping our bags safe until our night time journey. Thank you!

We felt immediately like home. The whole family is sooo lovely and helped us organizing everything - from backwater-trips to motorbike-rentals. The food was delicious and super-fresh and you‘ll get the very best Chai of all India. It was an amazing stay for our heart and our belly. Thanks for everything! Lorena and Tom
