The water kept changing temp drastically during my shower from warm to extremely hot.

This place is stunning. Renovated to perfection, so much attention to detail and an eye for preserving the original vibe. Donny was great at making our stay comfortable and easy. My kids felt like we were in a castle and loved everything about it. This is a special place and something to see all in itself! Exploring was really fun and something very unique to do as a couple or with a family.
We stayed with our two young children and the beds were super high and one was leaning quite a bit (my husband pushed it up against the wall to stabilize it), they had step stools which helped a lot. It was also a heatwave and over 100 degrees when we stayed, our room had a window unit which cooled somewhat sufficiently but the rest of the home was boiling inside. Central air would have elevated it, but it’s also a historic home and I understand that is not as easy as it sounds! Also location wise the street itself was decent, lots of historic homes similar period to the mansion, but the surrounding area did not seem like not the safest. I wouldn’t walk anywhere here.

It was quaint and interesting but definitely a work in progress as is the case with many historical buildings. I'm sure it was a grand residence in its day. Visually appealing and still carried many hints and cues of its past grandeur.
The owner was business-like but the initial greeting was far from being welcoming, warm or inviting. Unfortunately, all lodging is on the second floor and although there was a dated looking elevator it appeared to be out of service. So, I made several trips up and down the staircases to finally get all my luggage to my suite. At 80 years of age, it was a struggle for me to navigate the stairs + luggage. I didn't complain to the owner but I'm sure he noticed my struggle. For anyone planning to stay at this site, I would suggest that you travel light and be in good physical condition. I stayed here out of curiosity and for the experience.
