Shared home in a great location!

The location, walking distance to many restaurants. The bed was comfortable. The coffee in the morning. Responsive host. Price- but wish the fees would be included in the advertised price upfront.

False advertising- Booking.com states "entire vacation home". I thought we had the "entire home". Just was shocked when I walked in and someone was sitting at the table. I still would have taken the room for the price and location, but I wish I would have known it was a shared home. We couldn't get into our room the first night due to the battery needed changing for the door code. We ran out of toilet paper after about 5 nights, but it was brought to us by the host. Garbage needed emptying by the coffee maker.

Due to small things it was disappointing

I liked the general look of the house and the area is nice

1. Door codes didn’t work, we had to reset all of them 2. There was super intense mint smell in the house. Even our clothes took it. It was awful to sleep in that smell 3. 2nd night our room temperature was 79 Fahrenheit the AC didn’t cool that down 4. There was only small trash cans in the property. For 6 ppl for 2 days without emptying it was not so good 5. Some cigarette butt was left at the back door floating in the water

Lovely historic well-sited property and nice room but some issues with parking and no shower.

Location was ideal and fun to see historic property. Clean and well appointed room.

Parking was a big problem and with large space as part of property there should be adjacent parking. Also only had tub and no shower option that worked with curtain. There was a small coffee machine in common area but no milk and no instructions.

Wonderfull hotel

The location and decoration of the house are fantastic. Right around the corner of the heart of Coconut Grove but in a very quiet street. Clear instructions were provided on how to enter the house and where you can park the car. The staff was very accommodating and checked in several times during our stay if everything was okay. Can very much recommend!

We couldn’t change the temperature of the water in the bathtub/shower which was inconvenient. And even though it fits right into the style of the house, it would be nice to have the shower and bath separate as the tub was too small for me to even stand in, and was more of a challenge for my partner who’s nearly 2m long.

Perfect place for a chill trip close to everywhere.

it’s such a beautiful house, extremely clean, and I literally wouldn’t mind living there. The room came with a TV, couch, fridge, drawers and hangers, refrigerator, coffee machine, Wi-Fi, hair dryer, towels, shampoo, soap, and bath tub. Literally just like a hotel but without the hassle. Parking was also free! It was right on coconut grove, so breakfast was there every morning.

I just wish they opened the back doors for the ground floor rooms and hoped parking was on site. Also, hopefully they add more things to the garden.

We had a delightful experience staying in the Stirrup House and in Coconut Grove in general.

The house was very clean, quiet and beautiful! We were visiting Coconut Grove for the first time and the location of the Stirrup House was perfect for our needs - close to some wonderful restaurants that we were able to walk to. Although parking was in a separate building nearby, we were greeted by a very helpful young man who walked us directly to our lodging and made sure that we had everything we needed. The company that manages the property could not have been more friendly and helpful.

There was very little that we didn't like, but we do have a couple of suggestions. We stayed in Room 4, which is lovely, but there is a step-down to get into the bathroom that is not very obvious and one could easily fall if not aware of it (it happened to me). This should be marked somehow. The same is true for the bottom step on the stairs from the 2nd floor to the ground floor. It is a longer step than the others and a twisted ankle could occur if one is not aware of that. Some simple signage would take care of these problems.
