Tucked away in the quieter, more authentic side of Anacapri, this gem offers a rare sense of peace and tranquility that you simply don’t find in the busy center of Capri. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty of the property – lush gardens, fragrant lemon trees, and carefully tended flowers that make the whole space feel like a private sanctuary. The rooms are beautifully maintained – spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We spent many happy hours just sitting on the terrace, soaking in the silence and the stunning light of Anacapri at sunset. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the warmth and generosity of the hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome – offering thoughtful local recommendations, helping us navigate the island, and having a book available which shared little stories about the history of the property and the area. You could tell they genuinely care about their guests and take great pride in their home. The location is ideal for exploring Anacapri on foot – we walked to Villa San Michele, the chairlift to Monte Solaro, and several lovely local restaurants, all just a short stroll away. If you're looking for an authentic, restful, and deeply charming place to stay on Capri – Dimora Maiuri L’Olivella is an absolute treasure. Yes, it's a bit of a hilly walk into town – but honestly, we loved it. The peaceful location, the beautiful views along the way, and the feeling of returning to our own quiet retreat made it more than worth it. And if you're not up for the stroll, the hosts are happy to arrange a taxi in minutes. Definitely not a downside – just part of the authentic Anacapri experience!
