This spectacular 5 bedroom oceanfront beach house has some of the best views on Folly Beach! Kick off your sandals and enjoy multiple living areas with amenities such as a wet bar and ping pong table for a little family friendly competition. Upon entering the front door, you will find the first living space and four bedrooms. Bedrooms 1 and 2 host Queen beds, while bedrooms 3 and 4 have Kings. Each bedroom does have a jack and jill bathroom attached. After a long day at the beach, serve up some drinks and enjoy the views from the first floor deck. When the dinner bell rings, head up the stairs to a beautiful open-concept living space that is filled with lots of natural light. This floor also includes the master bedroom, with a grand en-suite bathroom and whirlpool tub. What better way to start the day than sipping coffee and soaking in the ocean air on the second floor decks! The second floor also offers a screened-in porch. This home is equipped with an elevator and Roku smart TVs in every room for guests to enjoy. (guests will need to log into their own streaming accounts) The fireplace is non-operational and no pets are allowed at this house. Enough space for 5 parked vehicles. Hakuna Matata is located 5 blocks from Center Street, where the majority of shops and restaurants are located. Leave your cars for the week and rent a golf cart or some bicycles for extra fun in the sun! NO WORRIES on Folly Beach! We've partnered with VayK Gear to provide our guests with a credit towards beach gear rentals! If you book this vacation rental for a stay duration of 4 - 14 nights, you'll qualify for a $275 credit towards vacation gear! ***The City of Folly Beach has scheduled beach renourishment for this spring. The project will start at the West end of the island at the county park progressing towards the pier in blocks. The completion is slated for August. While this is welcomed news given the recent erosion from storms and high tides, we realize the potential for disruption based on the project’s timing. We are committed to ensuring your vacation experience remains enjoyable. While most of the beach will remain publicly accessible during the construction, there is a possibility that certain sections of the beach, typically about 500 feet at a time, may be temporarily closed off. The active work area moves every 5 to 7 days on average. Due to so many external factors, we have no way to predict an accurate timeline for when the project will be at any given location. However, if we anticipate in advance that the project may affect your stay, we will be reaching out to you. In the small chance the project directly affects your beachfront vacation, we will work closely with you to discuss options. We liked this house and loved the location! We really appreciated the start-up toiletries and kitchen essentials. Not all rentals do that and we wanted you to know it was noted and appreciated. The top level of the house is beautiful, excellent for entertaining with the open floor plan. Spent most of our time on the screened in deck off of the living room. Of course it needs some updates, but for a rental, it served its purpose for us! The management company has been 5 star, so responsive and quick to address any issues. Thank you for everything, we look forward to visiting Folly again!

This is our second year staying at this property. We have all adult children so the configuration of the two living areas plus the space in the bedrooms and the double decks allow people to engage in so many activities simultaneously,; well-stocked kitchen, which opens right into a dining room and a big open room thatprovides priceless family time. Of course this property is just on the beach. The management of the property on site has just changed. There is no longer free cancellation.

Wonderful house with plenty of large open living areas, great views, and just a short walk to the beach. Beach is wide with shallow warm water and big tide pools-perfect for younger kids. We did have a toilet overflow soon after arriving but Vacasa management responded quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property within steps of the beach. The decks and porches have unobstructed views of the water. Comfortable furniture, lots of seating for the 8 of us. Kitchen well stocked. Highly recommend. A note to maintenance: two lights out in master bath. And to cleaning services: only one roll of toilet paper in master bath. All the others had an extra roll. No big deal.

The house was beautiful. Facing the ocean, gorgeous unobstructed view, huge kitchen with all appliances, dishware, utensils. High ceilings, nice and big bedrooms. Our group was 5 couples. We also enjoyed the charcoal grill and ping pong table. Great location. Easy walk to Bert's grocery.

This house is very spacious and accommodated our family well. The multiple living spaces and outside deck spaces were great for our group. There is a public beach access next door which made the neighborhood a bit busy but didn’t really bother us. The beach access is easy and there was everything we needed. I would recommend that people bring their own each towels as there are none provided. It’s a great place to stay.

We used to live in Charleston, so we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted for a vacation stay in Folly. This was a perfect spot. Incredible outdoor space, great bedrooms, Safe for our kids, it really had it all. We had one very minor hiccup with a fire alarm battery dying but the maintenance team was helpful to quickly communicate and come over and sort that out for us. We’d love to stay here again as we plan many repeat trips back to Folly/Charleston

Hakuna Matata surpassed our expectations. I’m hesitant to rave about it because selfishly we’ll be staying again and it’ll be to hard to book. But it was so nice. It was so well equipped we lacked nothing. It was extremely clean and the elevator was a huge plus. I might add we had a local company put up a tent on the beach every day, which was helpful and we rented a golf cart, which was a huge hit! We felt Hakuna Matata was particularly blessed by a loggerhead turtle that built her nest right off the path to the beach! What a treat!
