About this house rental

Our spacious home sits on almost 13 private acres of wooded land, and across the road from a picturesque pond. Experience a scenic setting with a remote feel while being easily accessible by car or train (just a 9 minute drive from the Metro North Cold Spring Station).
Beautiful woods or pond view from every room. Enjoy Hudson Valley sunsets, light the wood burning fireplace, and lay in our red light therapy (RLT) bed.
The space:
The entire living area and 13 acre property will be for your private use. The property is on hilly and wooded land, and overlooks a scenic pond. There is a large, flat lawn in the back of the house suitable for recreation.
Two of our four bedrooms have designated work spaces. There are also 2 movable desks for working anywhere in the home.
The kitchen is recently remodeled and has everything you need to cook and make coffee, tea, etc. We have all new appliances including a dishwasher.
The spacious three-season sunroom has direct access to the backyard. Our washer and dryer is stocked with laundry detergent, wool dryer balls and dryer sheets. Our red light therapy (RLT) bed is also available for your use.
Our home is conveniently located 10 minutes from Cold Spring’s Main Street, and 18 minutes from downtown Beacon.
Explore the nearby famous Breakneck Ridge Trail, Hudson Highlands State Park, Bannerman Castle, Dia Beacon and Storm King Museums, cute shopping districts, brunch spots, and so much more!
We take pride in using only non-toxic cleaning chemicals to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests.
Guest access:
You have access to the entire living areas of the home and all of the grounds. A stone wall runs much of the perimeter of the property.
Other things to note:
Please remove your shoes to help us maintain our newly installed floors.
Please message me about any events or long-term stays.
It will be difficult to access our home in snowy conditions without four wheel drive. If you do not have a car with four wheel drive, please park at the bottom of the driveway and walk up.

This was a perfect house and location for the New York stop on a longer road trip. The house was clean, well equipped and spacious. A bedroom set up for kids including a crib, books and toys was a welcome feature. It was also really peaceful with beautiful views of the pond across the street. The location was convenient for days spent in Cold Spring, Beacon, Storm King and a day in NYC.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay for our “Girls Getaway” trip. Our host quickly responded to any questions we had and just about everything we needed for our home away from home experience was there. The home is bright and airy, clean and comfortable and everything is as lovely as pictured. There is even a cute kid’s room with toys for families with young kids. Truly a relaxing getaway for us. Whether sitting in the living room, lounging on the sofa or sipping morning coffee at the dining table, you can watch the geese float by on the pond or the red-winged black birds fly about (definitely a beautiful way to start the day). Stay in and relax or take a short drive to check out the shops/restaurants in town. Take a walk by the Hudson River or make your way to Cracker Barrel Country Store. You’re sure to enjoy your stay no matter your choice. We left feeling totally relaxed and recharged. Would definitely come again!

We had a great stay at Edie’s home! The home was modern and comfortable. The location was great and the views from every room were beautiful. Everything was easily accessible and the check out instructions were available, simple, and clear. Edie was a gracious host who checked in with us to make sure everything went smoothly. We would recommend this home to others!
