Absolutely fantastic location with a lovely terrace and view. Our warm host Anthony patiently waited for us to arrive and met us onsite to show us around and give us lots of tips. The apartment is beautiful with ample room, wish we could have stayed a few days longer!
More of a hint...there are lots and lots of stairs, this would be a challenge for folks with mobility issues especially because there is not a bathroom on the main floor. We managed well, so this is not a complaint, but I was a bit surprised by how many stairs there were to climb. The public paid parking is nearby, but again, the walk with luggage was a slight challenge for one member of our party and, given the location in the old part of town, I was not comfortable driving to the property on narrow streets for drop off at the front door. If you are young(ish), able, or comfortable driving on narrow Portuguese streets, this will not be an issue at all.

We had the loveliest stay at Casa Porta Nova Al! It is such a lovely apartment and conveniently located within walking distance of almost everything! Anthony was very accommodating and provided wonderful suggestions. I loved reading on the deck while listening to live music drifting through the streets. This place is just magical!

We usually find ourselves having to compromise on something when booking an accommodation:
Want a perfect location? Then parking will be expensive and budget will need to increase.
Want a spacious place for the whole family? Then will have to stay outside of our target location.
Want a place with 2 (two) bathrooms for our family? Well, it's almost impossible to find!
Well, we didn't have to compromise on anything with Casa Porta Nova AL! Perfect location, spacious adorable place with modern amenities (and 2 bathrooms!!), reasonable parking garage option(s), wonderful host who was always quick to respond (even when we had a late evening emergency).
