An Absolutely Outstanding Lodge – A True Hidden Gem WOW! What an absolutely superb place! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found somewhere really special. The Lodge is genuinely outstanding — beautifully modern, immaculately presented, extremely comfortable and set in the most incredible natural surroundings. It is one of those places that is even better in person than you expect it to be. The location is a huge part of what makes this place so special. Tucked away amongst beautiful woodland and surrounded by nature, it feels like you are completely away from the outside world. There is a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity here that is becoming harder and harder to find. If you are looking to escape the noise, traffic and everyday hustle and bustle, this is absolutely the place to come. And then there are the nights… simply magical! Sitting inside the Lodge in the evening, in front of the fireplace, surrounded by the peacefulness of the woodland outside, was just something else. There is such a warm, cosy and relaxing atmosphere — the kind of experience where you can sit back, switch off from everything and genuinely enjoy being in the moment. That fireplace is a real WOW factor! It made the evenings feel incredibly special and was probably one of our favourite parts of the entire stay. The Lodge itself has been designed beautifully. It has that perfect balance of modern luxury and comfort without losing the feeling that you are staying somewhere surrounded by nature. Everything feels thoughtfully considered, and you can tell that a lot of care has gone into making guests feel comfortable and at home. We also have to give a huge special mention to Pam and Sophie. They were absolutely fantastic — friendly, welcoming, helpful and genuinely lovely people. Their hospitality made the whole experience even better, and it is clear that they take real pride in looking after their guests.

Beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful. Exceptional views.

Whilst there was a note that there were steps they were steep in places with gravel that was slippery, not ideal for older or slightly unsteady people - the highlight on steps should advise further on this.

The lodge is located in a beautiful park with fabulous views over the valley. An abundance of rabbits kept our puppy busy, as did the lovely walks around the park. The fire made the lodge very cosy on some chilly nights and the open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area was very spacious. Value for money for four or six guests would be very reasonable.

The lodge feels a little tired in some areas, most notably the ensuite and some of the furniture. The most disconcerting factor was the amount of noise from the building moving / settling. This happened a lot during both day and night and it was quite startling to the extent it woke us up some nights. Value for money wasn't great as a couple.

How spacious the lodge was. Also each room having a bathroom!
