Badger's Shack is a lovely, very well-equipped, and superbly comfortable place to stay - we felt at home on arrival. The shack was a welcome respite the end of busy days out. The hill view and private access to local walks is excellent. The owner, Chris, was very helpful and we appreciated the small gestures like coffee, milk, and a disposable BBQ.

Nothing we didn't like, but the extremely hot weather this week did make the shack very hot. Drawing the curtains is a necessity, to keep the large glazing from bringing in too much heat during the day. We needed to keep the front door and kitchen patio doors open for a nice through draught. Not a complaint, but a tip for future guests.

From the moment we stepped in, it felt so relaxing and peaceful. Everything you need is there, a lovely welcome pack, detailed instructions, walking maps and books. It even had sharp knives in the kitchen, which in my experience is very rare in rental properties!

Nothing., it was all perfect.

Perfect location if you want to explore the Lake District. The accommodation was excellent. The work and love that has went into it is clear and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need.
