Perfect place for a London shopping spree with family.

The location is absolutely perfect for what we needed. So close to Bond Street station and the shops on Oxford Street. The place felt secure with manned desk downstairs. I love the high ceiling in the lounge. Was perfect for our group to be able to all be together in the lounge instead of separate hotel rooms.

Really minor detail - could have done with a tea towel to dry the dishes and lamps in the bedroom especially as we had one child with us. The small battery lantern type lights didn’t work which I think were instead of lamps because there were limited plug sockets. Other than that was great.

Very disappointed by multiple aspects of our stay—tub, beds, lack of weatherproofing, and more

It was right next to a tube station, which was very convenient. And while the elevator was small, it was in service our entire stay, which was great, because my mother is disabled and 4 flights of stairs would have been extremely hard on her. The hot water kettle was fast and convenient, and there was plenty of room in the fridge.

There’s a very steep flight of stairs right as you enter—this was challenging for my disabled mother and I couldn’t see the stairs in photos or in the listing. We also had difficulty sleeping on the pull-outs. The buttons on the green sofa were uncomfortable, so I let my husband keep the smooth side and I tried one of the yellow pull-outs but the leg was broken and both were sunken. I had to layer pillows underneath myself to make it somewhat tolerable and my back still ached. There was a cold front with lots of rain (in June), and without a dryer we had hung clothes to dry on a rack in the kitchen but they wouldn’t dry because there’s a huge gap between the sashes in the kitchen window that was letting in cold, damp air constantly. I finally “plugged” it with multiple shopping bags so our clothes could dry. And the bathtub had no plug at all. My son has sensory issues and doesn’t like showers, so I had to improvise and use a plastic bag to generate enough of a seal to fill the bathtub. The medicine cabinet is also full of rust, so adding contact paper to the shelves would prevent the rust from getting all over people’s toiletries. Some instructions on what the clothes washer’s symbols mean would also help a lot. I looked up the manual, but even that had limited information. We had just stayed at an apartment in Paris that had a washer/dryer combo unit plus two bathrooms and pull out beds that didn’t sag or have buttons digging into your back, and the Paris apartment was cheaper. So staying at this London apartment was a huge step down—it was such a disappointment but cost more. It was also quite a walk to reach any grocery stores.
