The Barn Studio is a spacious, well-equipped room with a separate bathroom containing a shower. Although the bed is in the same room as the kitchen, dining area and lounge, it does not feel cramped. Everything was immaculately clean and there was a welcome pack of cakes, biscuits, milk, tea, tea and coffee, as well as cooking essentials (butter, oil, pepper, salt, sugar). The hosts live at the back of the barn and were very friendly and helpful. The road was quiet, the bed comfortable, the WiFi signal good. There is a facility for charging an electric vehicle. There are a few walks from the door and it is a short drive to numerous other walks, such as the Monsal Trail (it's 2 miles to Miller's Dale car park).
Nothing not to like about the property. We would advise against the Cheedale walk along the river for all but the most agile of walkers - this is about 1km downhill from the studio. A beautiful walk, but precarious underfoot, probably flooded after rain.
