The property perfectly suited me in terms of cost and amenities. The only downside was no laundry facilities but Andrew made his own available to me which was very kind. The shower is walk-in and there were times when I would have preferred a tub to soak in after a long hike but such are the trade-offs. The location is excellent. Right near the convergence point for I-405 north and I-5 north with easy access to all points north e.g. Mt. Vernon, Whidbey Island and Canada and all points south e.g. Seattle, Redmond, Olympia. The location is a nice walk from a really decent pizza and ale place called the Local104. Additionally, if you like pleasant walks on autumn days next to a scenic lake, the famous Burke-Gilman hike and bike trail is just a walk away. An additional benefit is that route 104 (the main route next to the location) is a straight shot to Edmonds (a really fun little town with a great blues bar) and the ferry to the Olympic peninsula which contains the Olympic National Park. It has one of the only two temperate rain forests in the contiguous 48 states). In short, if you want easy access to scenic highways, the Puget Sound, the mountains and a great nightlife, this place gave me that.

The unit was very cute and comfortable, in an adorable area. Parking was also very easy and convenient. It was a bit loud at times and we were unable to use the tv because because it kept glitching and then the power would go out (2-3 times). We ended up watching on a laptop with hotspot. We had a lovely stay and would book here again. It was also close to a very cute coffee truck in an Airstream, highly recommend.

This is a good place to go if you have trips into the Seattle area but want to come back to a cozy, more relaxing setting. This MIL suite is at the lower portion of a house, with a fully separate entry. It was really good to have a level entrance with no stairs! The electric fireplace was nice, WiFi/Internet great, parking was great, and owner communication was great! The listing said full kitchen and we used the dishes, silverware, pots and pans, tea kettle, toaster, microwave, and dishwasher. We did not use the countertop oven. I appreciated knowing that it was a small refrigerator ahead of time, as it helped in planning what to bring/not bring. The listing I believe did say a stove, which was one of the reasons I selected it. What was in the kitchen was 2 burner ceramic/glass stovetop, which even with a users manual was a bit confusing for me to use. However in communicating with the owner my questions were cleared up. It might have been helpful to have pictures of the kitchen to see what was included. The weather when we were there was cold for the Seattle area so we used the wall thermostat/heaters and the space heaters. However we were also cooking at the same time on the stovetop and heating water in a tea kettle and the power went out in a portion of the kitchen and some outlets. To his credit, when we contacted the owner he quickly remedied the situation. We did not use the sunroom, but did enjoy the view of the creek, chickens, garden outside, and evergreen trees.
