Relax and reconnect in the ample living space fully appointed for your enjoyment. This studio suite can accommodate up to 3 guests in its king-sized bed and queen pullout sofa. As day turns into evening, relax and recharge--draw a bath in the soaking tub and invite in the last rays of the day.
The glass lanai doors fully open allowing four persons to comfortably enjoy the stunning view. This suite has a southern exposure which equates to more sun and less direct wind generating the perfect balance for tropical air conditioning. In this suite opulence and comfort are the constant, gracefully interwoven for your happiness and relaxation.
We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops, and we have provided every appliance & utensil to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients. Very pleased with the unit overall, other than the broken washer and dryer that we couldn’t use for our stay. Kitchen had all we needed for cooking some meals. Fridge had filtered water and ice making which was perfect for filling water bottles daily. Balcony was used daily and had a great view of the inner resort and ocean! The resort complex was great! Many pools, jacuzzis, beach front property and Duke’s Restaurant! Used the valet service for parking daily which was very convenient for all the coming and going we did with our rented Jeep for island excursions all week. Definitely a place most if not all will enjoy!

Honua Kai was recommended to us by some coworkers, and I’m so glad I listened to them! The studio room we booked was perfect. Big enough for two of us and we loved the view from the balcony. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. The only issue we had was the safe in the room didn’t work but they came and replaced it right away. Also the washer and dryer weren't working but they would come and get our laundry and delivered it back clean the same day. The communication was fantastic! I would definitely recommend Honua Kai to anyone looking for a vacation rental. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous! We loved our stay. Supermarket right across road.

The apartment was very well kept, the unit was very clean and tidy. The unit comes with equipment with everything you would need. The resort was beautiful and we had a great time. The view from the room was great and we loved spending time on the lanai. The towels were easy to get at the pool and the amenities were terrific.
The stay was wonderful in all regards other than the three German cockroaches we encountered. The Konea building definitely has a cockroach issue and this did make me super paranoid but as I have found it is a problem generally in Maui resorts being a tropical climate. I would’ve given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the roaches, I contacted the host after seeing the first one and they sent maintenance to treat the room but days later I again saw a roach in the washroom at night. Keep your things elevated and you should be fine but for me I wouldn’t have stayed knowing this, especially for the price. I followed all the rules for cleaning up dishes and taking out the trash every night, this was a bit annoying for vacationing but still didn’t prevent the pests from coming back.
Other things to note, there is exterior painting going on with mobile crane/booms which operate during daytime hours on the far side (view from balcony).
The building is on the furthest end of the resort from the main entrance, the inner road is slow and has many speed bumps. There is a closer exit but entry gate was locked with a sign saying you need to enter from the main entrance.
