About this cottage rental
This stunning 1 bedroom cottage is set in tranquil gardens on the edge of Maiden Newton in the heart of West Dorset’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There are fantastic country walks right from the doorstep and it’s a short drive to the stunning Jurassic Coast with it’s pristine beaches. It’s a 5-minute walk to the village stores, a great dog friendly local pub and railway station.
There is a very comfortable super-king-size sleigh bed, powerful shower, fully equipped kitchen, reliable Wi-Fi with super-fast broadband, 40" smart TV, wood burner and private all-year-round hot tub.
We are super dog friendly, accept all breads and an unlimited number can stay for free. Be aware the garden is accessed via external steps or from the first floor landing so may not be suitable for elderly and infirm dogs.

The property was exactly what we needed. It is in a lovely village with all amenities. The bed is super comfy, the garden is a very private sun trap, and the hosts left a variety of dog beddings, towels and toys which came very handy as we had forgotten to bring our dog's bed.We enjoyed a lovely walk to Cattistock and back, and visited West Bexington for a lovely day by the sea.Would definitely recommend to other dog parents and keen walkers.

Lovely warm and well equipped cottage. Friendly village with mud free walks which were just the job due to the non stop rain!

We arrived at the property to check in at 16.15 to find that it hadn't been cleaned and was not read. We contacted the owners who came and we then had to vacate for several hours whilst they got it ready. We were very disappointed that they only offered us a 10 refund as the hot tub could not be used that evening, but the inconvenience for us was having to go out whilst the house was prepared when we had been travelling all day. Aside that, the house is in a lovely location, very quiet. It does need some TLC, felt that we had to wash dishes before we used them, there were no sharp knives, dishwasher was very dirty, shower looked grubby. Could be improvements on the cleanliness and some of the paintwork in the house.
