Our property is intentionally located in a more secluded area to provide you with a peaceful, private getaway. The neighborhood leading up to our property is a working-class community with many long-time residents.

There is a small beverage cooler in the laundry room you are welcome to use. There are spare beach chairs in the closet under the stairs you are welcome to take to the beach or to use on the dock, if you'd like.

This home is tucked away in a secluded wooded setting, offering guests a chance to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Because of this location, you can expect to see and hear local wildlife during your stay. You may encounter squirrels, insects, spiders, birds and other native woodland animals. While we take great care to keep the home clean and well-maintained, the outdoors belong to the local wildlife. Because the home is nestled in a forest setting rather than an urban or suburban setting, occasional insects or other small critters around the exterior - and on rare occasions, inside - are a normal part of the Florida environment despite routine pest control. This is a natural environment and part of the unique experience of staying in a natural setting.
We invite you to slow down, enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birdsong, and experience the beauty and tranquility of this unique woodland escape.
NO SMOKING. We kindly request that you observe our strict no smoking policy within the Romance on the Bayou home. To maintain a fresh and inviting atmosphere for all of our guests, smoking indoors is absolutely prohibited. Smoking odor inside the unit related to smoking of any kind will result in a $250 fee. However, we understand that some guests may wish to smoke during their stay. In such cases, please feel free to make use of the outdoor spaces for smoking.
