Star gazing

We were right where we wanted to be in the heart of the village.walking distance to food outlets and the dark sky project.

Was a little confusing when getting the room. Also the view of the restaurants back door rubbish area even though tidy was a little off putting.

Lovely location but not for a long stay due to limited cooking facilities.

Good location, large room, close to lake but bad view from room.

Limited amount of dishes for cooking, only 2 cutlery items each. As they provide a microwave why not provide more dishes to use in a microwave?

Disappointing- we knew we didn’t have a lake view but expected to be able to look at more in such a beautiful town- than

Room was spacious, clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Very close to town.

The name is misleading- whilst the rooms are near the lake our room faced the back of a bar- generally noisy at night and worse when the bottles were dumped. This was an accessible unit and if you were in a wheelchair you would not be able to reach the dishes, cups, microwave or clothes hangers.

Entspannung am See

Sehr neues Apartment mit allem was man sich wünschen kann. Geschäfte auf der anderen Straßenseite sowie auch viele Restaurants. Kaum geht man aus dem Haus, schon sieht man Lake Taupo und ist in 5 Min am Wasser. Echt sehr schön!!! 😃👍

Konnte nichts entdecken, was mir nicht gefallen hätte.

Very nice unit, right in the village, but terrible outlook over rubbish bins.

Friendly staff and nice high spec furnishing.

Shocking view. Our unit called "Lakefront Apartment", but no view of lake at all, just a big window view of a large rubbish collection area, with another unit opposite looking straight into ours. Also, very noisy restaurant/bar directly opposite too .

機会があればまた宿泊を検討したい

スーパーマーケット、長距離バス(インターシティ)の乗り場も近く、星空ツアーの集合場所(ダークスカイプロジェクト)もすごく近く全てが徒歩数分圏内でした。

部屋のトイレが流されておらず、前の宿泊者が使ったままになっていて、1泊目はバスルームの異臭がひどかったです。トイレ以外は清潔で問題ありませんでした。

Struttura moderna, spaziosa e dotata di ogni comfort, in posizione centrale e con una vista favolosa

La struttura è disponibile al check-in per sole 3h (dalle 14 alle 17). Per un check in alle 17.30 hanno aggiunto circa 10€ in più solo per aver lasciato le chiavi in una cassetta di sicurezza con codice. Mi sembra un costo veramente eccessivo data la scarsa disponibilità di tempo per il check in e il minimo disturbo da parte loro, tenendo conto oltretutto che si tratta di una struttura dal costo elevato

Fine for max one night

The room is fine

I don’t recommend anyone staying more than one night here. The ‘village’ has a high backpackers/ski resort feeling and there’s not much to do. Restaurants are very average compared to the rest of NZ

Brilliant location, brand new apartments

Smart TV with Netflix, excellent location right by everything, plenty of parking, fresh milk provided for tea and coffee, new building with lovely bathroom, excellent air conditioning and under-floor heating, restaurant downstairs was lovely.

Would have preferred to have a better selection of teas available and to have some tissues in the room. Otherwise everything was new, clean and very comfortable.

It was comfortable and warm for the night.

It was clean and tidy and warm for the short time we were there.

A few long life milks in the fridge would of been a nice touch to just enjoy a cup of tea. The view was not what was expected looking onto the back entrance of restaurants and rubbish bins right below window. Quite different to a lake view like we were expecting.

The best location in town.

The location is outstanding. Restaurants were all close by, as is the supermarket where you could get something to eat or for warming up/cooking in the microwave in your apartment. There is also laundry facilities on-site and a bar/restaurant on the ground floor. The lift, was handy on arrival and departure from the apartment. Ample parking is available.

The area around the bottom of the stairs was untidy, although the weather was not the best. However, there didn't appear to be any attempt to clean up the area during our 4-day stay.

Great Location and Property, terrible management and check in n out experience.

The property in itself is very nice although the people running it are rude, unaccommodating. Its exactly where you want to be in Lake Tekapo and would not need a car. choose the lake facing room even if it is expensive it is totally worth it.

The owner or the Manager who is at Lake Tekapo Holiday Home office is a piece of work. The accommodation and the reception where you pick the keys are not in the same address. On calling him he gave little to no idea where he is and showed great impatience and irritant to be on call and help. Not only is he rude and impatient, he is also not accommodating at all. I would rather book with someone else than have to face that person again. RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, UNACCOMMODATING. I was late for checkout which is at 10AM in the morning by 1 hour. instead of calling or messaging me he turned at my door and shouted at me. not only that he threatened me, and told me to give the keys right away. For that one hour he charged me 50 NZD and didn't even wait for me to show at his office to charge. The place Lake Tekapo is amazing spoilt by the rude behaviour of this human.

Meh good but not great

The location was good. Very close to the Cafe and restaurants. Plenty of parking.

The sheets in the bed had stains. The shower and bathroom had I'm guessing cleaning product stains. For the price I would have exspected to be paying for a beautiful lakefront view. Not half a glimpse of a lake and some hills . The restrictions on heat pump was a bit silly. If I'm paying top dollar I will set the heat pump to what ever temperature.

The heating was great. It was very close to the cafes and restaurants.

No view but this did not matter really as it was almost dark when we arrived and the comfort and location made up for this.

Accomodation was superb but the town is dead of an evening and finding something to do was hopeless.

Difficult to locate the office after hours, possibly the fault of my GPS?

I'd suggest a more detailed map, we gave up trying to follow the directions and just went looking for the business in the photograph. Even when we found it the actual apartment wasn't so easy to find.
