Surrounded by water, forest, meadows and beach, Freest, as a typical, idyllic fishing village, offers the best conditions for rest and relaxation. The small fishing port with cutters and yachts is now the most modern in Western Pomerania. Here you can enjoy the maritime atmosphere during an evening walk. From the beach in Freest you can enjoy an impressive view of the estuary and the opposite town of Peenemünde. Freest is an interesting starting point for excursions to the islands of Rügen, Usedom, Ruden and Oie, the historic Peenemünde Museum and the most beautiful cities in Western Pomerania and neighboring Poland. Activities nearby: If you like fishing more sporty, you can also take fishing boats in Wolgast rent a motor. In the small fishing port in Freest you can buy fresh fish or take the ferry across to the island of Oie.
