About the accommodation

Especially suitable for groups of 10–23 people. Beds in winter 19, in summer 23. Extra beds available if necessary. You will have a large yard area to yourself with approx. 300m2 and a 130m2 terrace. No other residents or other cottages next door. In addition to the main house, the yard area has three cottages, a luxury tent, a beach sauna, a smoke sauna, a storage room/woodshed, an outdoor toilet, a hut and a large barbecue shelter. You have 4 indoor toilets/showers, 2 boats and SUP boards, indoor/outdoor games, firewood and wifi at your disposal. The equipment varies depending on the season. Everything except the safari tent is in use all year round. In the summer season, a mosquito magnet keeps the bugs to a minimum. Free self-guided activities such as fishing, berry picking, mushroom picking, swimming, boating, SUP boarding, skiing, a picnic and yard games are available on site. The marked nature trail can be accessed directly from the yard. Depending on the situation, your desired arrival and departure times are possible, as well as day visits without overnight stays. You can rent bed linen and towels from the house or bring your own. Final cleaning is included in the accommodation price. A large smoke sauna can be booked upon request, heated by the host, depending on the weather. The house does not have its own dining services. Breakfast and meals are provided by the local partner company "Kievari rantapirtti". Rantapirtti also organizes various experiences and activities in its own area. Canoeing, dog sledding safaris, snowmobile or quad bike safaris, rally rides, frisbee golf and ice track karting.
Information about the surrounding area

You can access the marked nature trail, berry and mushroom forest and fishing right from the yard. Although the place is in the countryside amidst quiet nature, it is a relatively short distance from the town of Jämsä and the activities of Himos. Palvia is located on a peaceful lakeside surrounded by nature. The site is entirely for the private use of your group, but there are also permanent residents and summer cottages around the lake, whose peace must be respected. Nearby UNESCO World Heritage sites: Petäjävesi Old Church and Verla Wood Sanding and Board Mill. The Serlachius Museums and the Alvar Aalto Museum also bring culture. All year-round activities and events in the Jämsä area on the himosjamsa website
