Absolutely top class location and view. Peaceful and quiet. Very nice hosts who welcome you into their homes. Amazing breakfast too
Could be a bit of a walk to the town, but you can be there in 10 mins

The rooms are good sized, and with wonderful views over the lake. The family that runs the hotel are excellent, polite, very nice people, who try to help with everything. The location is good, well placed for walks around the lake. A supermarket is a 10 minute walk away, and the city centre can easily be reached by a short cheap tuktuk ride (300 SLR one way as of July 2026, plus do tip the driver a bit more). There are restaurants around as well, a couple of good Indian ones some distance away on the right hand side - the ones close by including the pizza place we found okayish.
This is a homestay, so don't expect hotel levels of professionalism; the owners and staff will respond quickly to any requests you make, e.g. please clean the room, or refill the coffee packets (its not automatically done). Also - and this is not the hotels fault at all - the nearby lake park plays quite loud booming music till about 10 PM or even 11 PM if that is a problem for you; nothing the hotel can do about it. I used earplugs.

Keeth and his extended family are very gracious and helpful hosts.
The property is beautiful with spacious rooms. Our room was on the first floor and accessible by a central wooden staircase.
Our room had 2 double beds, quilts, a room heater, a TV/leisure area with couches, a balcony and an attached bathroom with all the fitments expected.
The morning breakfast is home made and well presented. The local Sri Lankan food is available on request, but you have to let them know in advance as its home made. Keeth and family are very helpful in arranging vehicles for local sightseeing or even for travel to Kandy/Colombo etc. The location of the property is right overlooking Lake Gregory and the park. Its a 2 Km walk from the Nuwara Eliya City center and there are good restaurants around the property, including an Indian and another Italian food restaurant within 50 m.
Honestly nothing that we didnt like.

Amazing views of the lake and garden in front. Best were the hosts. They were just amazing family made us feel like we were their own family guests.
