The location and the staffs
The gates are closed, and since no key was shared, we have to call the guard whenever we come, like at 11:00 or so in the evening. The cleanliness of the room seems to be lacking, and some of the gadgets are quite old. Breakfast is usually late so we missed it twice from a three days stay.

From the veranda, you have a basic view of Kigali. The room was large and according to the photos (basic, yes, but what it showed). The compound felt safe (guard on site). The staff were fiendly and eager to assist (most communicated moderately well in English). WiFi is free and worked well. It is a walkable distance to the Kigali Convention Center (20 min on foot, with 3 min uphill at the beginning), and one can easily get a motorbike taxi even a few meters from the entrance (or for sure after the 3 min uphill hike at a taxi stop), so you can easily move around the city with a taxi. You can order food from the onsite Chinese restaurant (that was always empty to be frank) - had Chinese noodles which were fair for 5 USD (5000 RFW).
The breakfast was rather poor (good coffee yes, but beyond that there is just some fruit and simple omelette tacked within thin white bread slices). The rooms have no mosquito nets or screens on the windows, and just one plug (without an extension cord that I had brought, it would have been impossible to function, especially since there was a mosquito repellent plugged in in the single plug). Linen-pillows etc. of poor quality (basic). Flimsy door/lock that seemed that one could easily bash in with minimal effort. Gap at the bottom of the door so that mosquitos kept coming in under it (had to plug it with towel). Only toiler paper provided - not even a bar of soap at the bathroom. The place is not well known, so had to provide GMaps pin to taxi drivers to find it. Overall, this place is safe yes, and one can stay, but it is not ideal for tourists (I would say most likely it caters to local businessmen on a budget).
