We had a weird sense of wanting to leave as soon as possible.

The creeping plant which gave a natural feel

The flat felt weird. We were hugely disappointed with the location, having not realised/seen it was above a shop along a busy road among a host of takeaways. The outlook across the road to the disused timber retailer, now plastered in graffiti, was somewhat bleak! There were no curtains, only cheap blinds that let in a lot of light even when closed… combined with traffic noise led to a disturbed sleep. As for the bed, it was basic. Basic bed, basic mattress, cheap bedding and one miserly pillow! I went to find another pillow in the lounge cupboard, only to be offered something that looked like someone had died on it. The bedding and’s the pillow situation was substandard. Why would I swap 2 comfy l, clean pillows on my own bed to pay £136 to sleep on one flat pillow for the night? The towel situation was pathetic. 2 towels each of which were clearly hand-me-downs, didn’t match, were old and the size of a hand towel. In 6.2- how the hell can I dry myself on a hand towel!!! Then there was the furniture, obviously another batch of hand-me-downs or clear outs from friends ands family. Absolutely zero style, zero comfort or any form of luxury for £136. The colour of the walls left me thinking that left over paint had been used from other decorating projects, again to save money. And, why was there a pipe sticking out the back of the sofa? Was that for colonic irrigation? I think I’ve said enough. There is an ASDA half a mile away. They sell bath towels for about £7 each. They sell bedding. You can buy 4 nice towels, a set of 4 good pillows and a modern duvet cover, all for less than £50. Spend some money on the place of you’re inviting guests at premium pieces! We seriously couldn’t wait to leave as the feeling in there was quite depressing.

Disgusting. Wouldn't recommend at all

I don't understand the high rating on this property at all.. Everything was grubby. I noticed there was a jacuzzi bath. I was so excited to use it! All around the jets were disgusting. I spent an hour cleaning all around them and tbh I still wouldn't have felt comfortable getting in it. Just pure calcified scum. Filled the bath to run a clean through the jets and they didn't even work! Shower was full of scum marks also. The whole flat just needs a deep clean and fumigating. All cupboards and doors were dusty and grubby. There was a weird vibrating sort of noise ALL night. Windows weren't soundproofing much of the sound of the traffic. My daughter and partner also left with flea bites. Booked 2 nights stay and left after one. Would have left the first night but we arrived late even and were exhausted. Had to book another place to stay for the second night so I'm £150 out of pocket. They're refusing to reply to customer services in regards to a refund. Unfortunately I'm only able to upload 4 pictures. I have lots more I could show.

Quite compact, but that added to a very cosy feel and there was everything there that you would want for a few days away. I was very impressed by the communication by the host; it was great to know that help was on hand if needed.

Not a major issue but you need to park a little away from the venue on local streets. On Sundays and in the evenings you can park right outside.
