We stayed in this house for 3 days. The owners were very friendly, and although they don't speak English we communicated through translation apps. We had a very nice room, and we really enjoyed the tatami flooring. The owners gave us a lot of privacy and it was easy to go to the bathroom or kitchen which were almost always available to use. The location was amazing and there was so much to do nearby. It was a joy to stay in such a traditional room.
We had to be out of the house between 11 and until 6 pm every day, which sometimes was a bit tiring, as it would be convenient to have a quick rest at the house before dinner and then head out again. However this was stated in the accommodation rules before booking so we were aware of this.

ใครอยากได้วิถี และยอมรับการเข้าออกตามเวลาได่ก็จะชอบ
1.เป็นการพักกับเจ้าที่ต้องค่อนข้างเกรงใจมากๆ เพราะว่าบ้านค่อนข้างเล็ก และห้องติดกัน
2.การเข้าเช็คได้ตอน18.00เป็นอะไรที่ค่อนข้างทรมาณคนที่ลงเครื่องเช้าและอยากพักผ่อน รวมถึงอาจจะซื้อของแล้วอยากเอาของไปเก็บที่ที่พักก็ทำไม่ได้

The hosts were incredibly kind, friendly, and always helpful. The room I stayed in was simply stunning—part of a beautiful traditional Japanese house that offers a full, authentic cultural experience. The location is also perfect, right in the heart of Uji, just a short walk from famous temples like Byōdō-in and other sightseeing spots. It’s also a great base for visiting Kyoto or even taking a short trip to Tokyo. And of course, Uji is the matcha capital of Japan—so everything was truly unforgettable.
Honestly, nothing comes to mind. Everything was great and exceeded my expectations.

Nice n cozy
The hosts do not speak English even though they seem nice but so difficult to communicate.
Also the so called free slow wifi has no usable data at all, so it’s not slow, it’s simply not usable!!!
