Palacio Julio Hotel

Very central and incredible views from the 2 bedroom suite on the 7th floor. Very comfortable beds and powerful shower. Lovely building and nice calm quiet vibe.

Breakfast was ok, but slightly limited as a buffet, ie. No meat options and limited items only. Bathroom doors have no locks. The swimming pool is tiny, we didn’t actually bother using it in the end. The building is grand but facilities definitely not 5*

The breakfast was excellent. There was a buffet, plus you could order al a carte.

The beds were comfy, but there could have been more ofa pillow choice.

You cannot beat the location. If you got any closer, you would be sitting in the main town Square ! Everything to see and do is within walking distance. The size of the room was very good, the strength of the shower was excellent, and the room was super clean. The breakfast choices were large and the food was prepared with care and very tasty. Each of the staff from the front desk to the door person to the bellboy to the restaurant staff for exceptionally warm and helpful. The view from the room was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would come and stay again myself. Shout out to Leonardo who was one of the restaurant waiters.

The room only had one chair and one waste bin - in the toilet area. Hairdryer was provided upon request. It would’ve been nicer if the air conditioner was stronger. We stayed in room 706.

Beautiful aesthetic in restored building. Great location to the historic centre only really a block away. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Originally booked the deluxe studio and stayed one night, but moved rooms the following day. Be aware the deluxe studio’s are adjacent to the lobby and the non-opening window faces internally so no natural light at all, no fresh air and old air con struggled to circulate the air, and anyone in lobby can see straight into room if blind lifted. The noise of lift shaft and mechanics through the wall are a regular disturbance, and there is an air freshener machine directly outside Room 102 which had us coughing and sneezing repeatedly. Bath filled up during shower due to drainage. Moved to king room on 6th floor for a very pleasant stay the remaining nights with no issues at all. Breakfast is hit and miss - one morning a full buffet, the next not, and minimal options out for self-service the following days. No options for making a tea/coffee - has to be ordered as room service. A nice hotel but as most Mexican hotels, misses a few standard things.
