About this cabin rental

You'll have a great time at this comfortable place to stay. The cabin has a queen Sleep Number bed, refrigerator, Keurig, toaster, microwave, A/C , heat and full bath. Watch the sunrise in the morning from the porch, and the sunset from anywhere on the 40 acres. With a full moon the entire area lights up, no moon means countless stars and the Milky Way visible as you have probably never seen before. Possibly see a javelina, cotton tail or jack rabbit, roadrunner, mule deer, elk, bobcat or coyote. The property is on water catchment for water and solar energy for electricity. Water is not drinkable you will need to supply your own drinking water. The backup generator is currently out of service so conservation is essential if there is a cloudy day as you could lose power. We are located 34 miles from Terlingua Ghost Town, 32 miles from Big Bend National Park. Terlingua Ranch Lodge is 6 miles and features a laundromat, Bad Rabbit Cafe and pool for a small daily fee. GUEST ACCESS You have access to the guesthouse and shared access to the shed where you do dishes and leave bagged trash. You can roam the entire 40 acres just respect my private areas around my home. I am currently not at the property. VIDEO AND AUDIO SURVEILLANCE Cameras are located at guest parking and inside the shed as well in my private area.

The property was a good base camp for exploring the Big Bend/Terlingua area. All the comforts of home. Enjoyed the spacious views of desert and mountains. Would definitely recommend. Only recommendations would be to alert people to bring more water for drinking and more hooks in bathroom. Thanks for the great hospitality!

The place itself was really nice and the few issues we had the owner was quick to respond and fix. I will definitely recommend to others.

I knew we wanted a remote experience, but I also knew with the activities we would be doing in this area I would need some relief from the desert sun. This was the absolute most perfect place! I had my remoteness and the most perfect cabin ever. Definitely made my week long stay so much more enjoyable! (And it was away from crowded air b&b’s!) 10/10! Could not have been better!

Received good directions to the property. Property was as described. Originally planned on spending more time out exploring the area. Mother Nature had other plans. Spent more time at the property. Great views and comfortable living space. Highly recommend Black Cat Ranch
