About this house rental
The Big House is located in the New River Gorge National Park, the newest national park. There is access to Sandstone Landing's patio alongside the New River. It is a fully furnished home with outdoor seating, a fire pit, and a beautiful view of the river. It is a great starting point for exploring all the beautiful sites and attractions that southern West Virginia and the New River Gorge have to offer.
To get to the home, you will go across railroad tracks, we are near the railroad tracks. It is in a small, friendly neighborhood. You can walk to Sandstone General Store and Eatery to get any necessities you may have forgotten for your trip or get a meal.
If you plan to fish, there is also a bait and tackle store. Be sure to have a WV fishing license to be able to fish, though. The sandstone boat launch is within walking distance of the house.
An extra that we provide our guests is access to the Sandstone Landings patio on the river, this is a shared space with our Sandstone Landings guests. It is just a short walk from the home. The upper level of the patio is equipped with a dining table and chairs. Lower level of patio has outdoor furniture to enjoy the river view or to sit in while you fish in the New River.

This stay was one of our best! The hosts were quick to respond and the facilities were great! It was very clean and adequately equipped. The shower and towels were amazing. Thanks for a great week!

House was very nice and as described. Very clean. The river patio view was awesome. The only negative at all was the trains coming by and sounding alarms for the track crossing. I would like to return in the future.

Came on a little family trip and was very pleased with accommodations. Would definitely stay here again. Great communication with owners, had cookies and dog treats waiting on arrival which was very thoughtful. House very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast at the General Store next door was great as well. Highly recommend this rental.

Clean and comfortable. Attention to detail seen throughout house. Open and charming farmhouse. New River a few steps away for fishing. I’ll be staying here again. It is near to a railroad, but it didn’t bother me at all.
