Personally I liked the secludedness.
It was nice being in town,
Then we could take a nice relaxing drive
To “The Hills” (old person joke)

It was a lovely home decorated in very relaxing colors and even included a Christmas tree! Which I brought a small one but we used theirs for our family Christmas present gift exchange. We had a lot of plans to do things in New Braunfels but found the kids and the adults just wanted to stay at the house! The outdoors was set up to be able to enjoy even when it was cold and they had a great game room. When Joetta said the kitchen was fully stocked she was so right! We still brought a lot of things but did not have to use many of our own. And there were nine of us ! I guess the best thing would have to be the outdoor seating and fireplace and it's location with hiking trails and even a dinosaur track museum for the kids and adults to enjoy. If we didn't all have to go back to work we would have stayed a third night.
It was too bad that there was a countywide fire ban and we couldn't use the fire pit but it wasn't a deal breaker because of the propane fireplace outside.
