The location couldn’t be more perfect, right on the beach a short stroll to some lovely bars and restaurants. We also walked in to Biarritz which was lovely and only took 30mins including stopping for coffee at the lighthouse!

Nothing for us it was a perfect base

Wonderful property literally accross the road to the beach - with an ocean view from the master and from the balcony. Lots of great restaurant near by . The view of the lighthouse at night is amazing

Nothing the fault of the owners but because it is on the beach and on a street you will get some noise from people walking and laughing etc… also we had to close the window on a Saturday when one of the restaurant hosted what sounded like a fun concert (could have beenn fun to join but we wanted to sleep ;) ) the noise was fine with the window closed but then you lost the ocean breeze….

Communicating with the owners Sandrine and Bruno was super easy via WhatsApp. Upon arrival Bruno met us and gave us a quick tour of the apartment, showed us how things worked, and where we could do some grocery shopping. The apartment itself is fantastic, with fabulous views of the Atlantic and the Biarritz lighthouse. It’s literally steps away from the beach. I was traveling with a friend, so we used both bedrooms. We loved that we could hear the ocean from both rooms. Very comfortable beds too! We also really enjoyed the terrace, which has a view of the Biarritz lighthouse. When it’s warm - or if you just want some shade - there’s a retractable shade cover. Very nice. Right below the apartment is a great little breakfast and brunch spot. Great coffee, fresh croissants, freshly pressed juices. There’s also a boulangerie about a 5 minute walk away. The apartment is in Anglet, which is little north of Biarritz and known for its surfer culture. The walk to Biarritz is about 45 minutes and very scenic. Biarritz is a lot more touristy, while Anglet is laid back and relaxed. There are lots of restaurants and bars along the main promenade, plus a paved walkway along the coast all the way up to the river. Perfect for long walks and jogging. There are also several beach bars/restaurants along the walkway. And best of all, no car traffic. Just beach and ocean. The vibe of Anglet reminded me a lot of Santa Cruz in California. Lots of surfers too. We had a rental car, but we preferred to walk or take the bus. Public transportation is easy, cheap, and well organized. We took the bus to Saint Jean de Luz, which was super easy. And no driving around looking for parking. And OMG - the ice cream! There are ice cream stands everywhere and the ice cream is superb. My favorite is cerise noir - black cherry ice cream. Apparently the basque area is famous for black cherries. I definitely want to come back to Anglet and to the apartment.

Everything was great. No complaints.
