The breakfast
This property was far from "Superior." To make matters worse, when we checked in, we were not informed that the hotel was located within the danger zone of what has become one of the worst wildfires in German history.
The room was also not as described on Booking.com. We had specifically booked a room with an extra-large bed, but this was not what we received. The bed was small and extremely uncomfortable, making for a poor night's sleep.
The restaurant was equally disappointing, both in terms of service and food quality. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we were shown to a table at the back, next to the kitchen, without being offered the option of sitting in the beautiful garden or asked where we would prefer to sit. Throughout the meal, the service was inattentive and we repeatedly had to ask staff for assistance. The food was also poor. The steak appeared to have been reheated, as it arrived at exactly the same temperature as the accompanying salad, despite being significantly overpriced.
Finally, despite informing the hotel the day before that we would not be staying for our final night, we were still charged the full amount.
To make matters even more frustrating, neither we nor the excellent Booking.com customer service team were able to contact the hotel to discuss the issue or resolve the charges.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The property did not match its advertised standard, customer service was poor throughout our stay, and the lack of communication after our departure only added to our dissatisfaction. I would not recommend this hotel.

Amazing location. Some of the staff exceptional some ummm!
Sadly could not get dinner after we arrived at 8:50. Thankfully Allie got us a flattened bread with cheese.
