Excellent cottage in a delightful village. A really good find as we wanted to stay near the dog and gun. Clean, spacious, comfortable, had everything we needed and most importantly was dog friendly. Modern kitchen with an island, living room with log burner and en—suite twin bedroom on the ground floor with private paved yard. Upstairs was the main bedroom and bathroom. So peaceful and a great break from city life, waking up to the sounds of the cows was pretty amazing.

Property was mainly good. Good location. Comfy beds
Main shower not hot. Kitchen utensils and frying pans need binned. Needs a complete cooking equipment re stock. Salt and pepper was empty

The cottage is beautiful
The kitchen was fully equipped and we loved sitting round the island grazing and having a wine
The log burner in the lounge made it really snug
The beds are so comfy and the en suite bathrooms were a wonderful addition
Location wise it’s so close the M6 but right in the heart of a rural village. We were close to the lakes and Carlisle. It was perfect for our visit.
We would definitely return
The only slight improvement would be a larger comfier couch in the lounge, as the three of us (husband, wife and child) couldn’t fit on it all together to watch a movie, but otherwise everything was perfect!
