An excellent apartment on a prime location. The view of the beach and the sea from the balcony was amazing. The apartment is super-comfortable, with three separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and the phenomenal balcony. The beach is just 2-3 minutes away. Communication with the host is electronic but he was super-responsive and helpful. The apartment description and photos are 100% accurate - always a plus!
Almunecar itself is a nice town with quite a relaxed atmosphere - the beach is good (though nothing spectacular), the vast majority of tourists in late August were Spanish though it was not crowded by any means, there are nice restaurants and cafes...
Minor notes:
The nice beach atmosphere and the balcony also means some music/noise in the evening. But it tends to become much lower at midnight. Besides, one could easily close the windows - the apartment is fully air-conditioned.
The bed in the double bedroom was quite a bit noisy.

Las instalaciones muy bien, camas cómodas y las vistas estupendas. El anfitrión muy amable. Almuñecar es un pueblo encantador. Volveremos.
La via estaba en obras , lo que afectó bastante la movilidad y la descarga/carga de maletas, además de la dificultad en aparcar en la calle.

Ubicación y vistas
Obra en toda la calle delante. Rodeo para bajar a la playa y para acceder en coche. El propietario debería haber avisado.

Fantastic location, perfect for sunrises and just around the corner for sunsets. Great long walks along the prom, a stone's throw from the beach and old town, the best apartment we have stayed in. Great to have a coffee machine and dishwasher (even though it was temperamental but Jesus was super helpful). The bathrooms were lovely, the apartment was well equiped, the view from the master bedroom and balcony was so beautiful. I could have spent 2 weeks just watching that view!
I felt a little uneasy about the rail height on the balcony, and saw that neighbouring properties had installed a slightly higher rail. It was fine for us but I would be anxious for families with tall kids.
The third bedroom had a very high bed which was fine for adults but wouldn't be any good for young kids as it would be difficult for them to climb up.
Based on the 5th floor it was further from the noise of the nearby restaurants/bars but I wear earplugs so it wasn't an issue for me. However, some people might get disturbed during high season if the bars play music late into the night and they have their windows open
