The location was superb and Appleby is a beautiful little town with everything you could need. The house was lovely and very much like a tardis inside. Beautifully laid out and the kitchen had everything we needed. All bathrooms were clean and again I like the little home touches.
The owner Laura was fantastic and available to message when we had a problem.
The cottage was quirky and we didn't realise from the description that you had to go through one room to get to the other, so one couple didn't really have a lot of privacy.
The mattress in the main room needs changing as you rolled to the outside on both sides. Someone had left washing in the machine going stale, so we tried to get the items dry, which was a mammoth task. The hot tub wasn't working properly (not the fault of the owner and they had organised straight away to get it fixed). The drawer front on the cutlery drawer was loose and came off during our stay.

The cottage is big and spacious and clean. It has a good kitchen and location is great just by the river , quiet and relaxing
Lovely little cafe around the corner very friendly
Showers, the over head shower run hot even when you have it turned down .
The raiser shower heads in both showers do not stay up as the fittings are broken
Could do with a couple things in the kitchen like a colander, new frying pan and plastic spatula as the metal one scratches the pans
