Hotel was well large, rooms were very comfortable, staff were friendly, location was close to the old town and near the river. Breakfast was quite good.
On checkout, there was a mix up with a separate party we travelled with. They checked out ahead of us, but were told their room had been paid for but actually hadn't. Normally the payment goes straight through booking.com but that wasn't the case at this hotel so make sure you have actually paid before leaving. The staff were calm in this situation but it was a slight hassle on my side to resolve this when the other party had already left the country.

We had a fairly large room each with an ante-chamber, kind of like a small suite but not their largest. Comfort and cleanliness was great. Breakfast was Chinese but had real, freshly ground coffee from a machine. Staff largely was unaccustomed to foreigners that didn't speak Chinese and didn't speak any English but was trying hard to be helpful. Free car parking with one exception. Location was great for us - nice to have a walk along the river, close to qianfotasi, the monastary with a 1000 Buddha pagoda, close to downtown and to get to freeway. It is not close to rail or
There should be smoking and non-smoking floors or the whole hotel nonsmoking (which is unlikely as it is near the party head quarter and often used for official purposes). When someone smokes in the neighboring room, one can smell it which is bad.
There was one day when a big meeting happened, and although we were promised free parking, we were just told come back after 5, you can't park right now. So we had to pay for parking in a neighboring facility. They should have arranged that better, maybe with valet parking.
