Very well presented throughout, comfortable and clean while feeling homely. Would be ideal for longer stays without that clinical feeling that sometimes occurs with hotel stays. Downstairs laminate floor, upstairs carpeted. The top windows were left open ajar so the house felt airy and fresh upon entering. Main lights were all functioning and quite bright. Bathroom and separate toilet with its own sink, ideal for sharing the accommodation. Mirrors in each. Clean and tidy. One double bed in a room, one single, and one room with two singles. Plenty of space, beds were incredibly comfortable, great addition having blackout blinds too. Slept like a log. Plenty of storage space in each room (photos attached) clocks and lamps next to the beds. In the living/dining room, there is a large leather sofa and recliner, both very comfortable, big dining table, large tv next to a small fireplace (did not use this, not sure if it’s functional for colder weather). Large floor lamp for soft lighting. Again, clean and smart. Kitchen was also spacious, full sized Samsung fridge freezer with water dispenser. Worked well. Plenty of cutlery/crockery and pans for cooking. Washing machine appeared in good condition, however it was not used during our stay. Kettle and toaster both work well, Average size rear garden, with a table and chairs (which could do with a lick of paint, but otherwise functional) and a large BBQ. (Unused during our stay). Grass well maintained as with bushes. Short fence separating neighbours. There was a garage in the front at the end of a reasonably large driveway, and a stone path leading up to the house. A door in the porch opened to the garage, (I mistakenly thought this a storage cupboard at first). Doorbell camera and security camera on the front of the property, presumably for owners security. Good communication through messages. Property is very close to Templecombe train station, and a short drive to Wincanton.

Very slippy door mat by the back door, we had to move it in the end as it had tripped up both of us. Easily remedied. Door in the bathroom to the boiler had a loose latch, meaning it would make quiet banging noises if the window was open. Remedied this by leaving that door open or closing the window. A few socks from (presumably) a previous guest were left in a drawer in the master bedroom. Not really an issue in and of itself, it is guest’s responsibility to remove their belongings, but could be checked by someone. In master bedroom, plug sockets were behind the bedside tables, awkward to get to, required moving the furniture out and back in, but not a huge problem.

We had a great stay, it was like a home from home, It had everything we needed and so much more. So clean, spacious and very comfortable. Great amenities in the house. Andy was a very helpful and responsive host. We really had a wonderful time and can say it's one of the best properties we've booked on Booking.com, I would most definitely recommend.

The facilities were spot on, very clean and very well equipped. Location was perfect for what we’re looking for. Thank you!
