Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, sehr großzügig geschnitten - riesiges Wohn-/Esszimmer und tolle Orangerie. Wirklich eine außergewöhnlich gute Unterkunft. Können wir uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

This place is wonderful! Situated in a quiet village near Dorchester, it's only a 10-minute drive to the sea or the town centre, and there's a cosy pub nearby. The flat is very spacious and furnished with great taste and attention to detail and was impeccably clean. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need to prepare meals. Our personal highlight was the orangery, which is a great place to spend a rainy day or enjoy the last hours of sunlight in summer. Emma was an attentive and welcoming host who provided plenty of helpful suggestions on what to do and see in the area. We will certainly book again should we ever come back to Dorset.

The whole property and its surroundings (huge gardens along a country lane) was very impressive and the separate Orangery, which we rented for six nights, was fantastic.
The accommodation has a huge and well-equipped kitchen, a spacious lounge with good books and a big conservatory which gives you a lot of space. Additionally, we enjoyed the outside seating area for evening meals. The table tennis table in the entrance area is great too, although we unfortunately didn’t use it. Even though the owners live next door, it was very quiet and we hardly ever saw them. The holiday accommodation felt very private.
This is not really a down-side but the property is mainly tailored for a family of four with two older children due to the bunk beds, or maybe a couple and friends as it has one double bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds. We stayed there with our 3-year old whom we couldn’t leave alone in the other room and therefore one of us had to sleep in the bunk bed while the other used the double bedroom with the child. The three of us didn’t fit comfortably in the double bedroom.
It was great to have a free washing machine but perhaps it was not quite as clean as we would have liked it.

Wir haben unsere Zeit in der Orangery sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft ist großzügig, stilvoll und ausgesprochen komfortabel. Alles ist blitzsauber und so liebevoll eingerichtet, dass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Das großzügige Bad würde man am liebsten Zuhause nachbauen. Und es gab sogar Bademäntel!
Die Lage ist perfekt, um die Jurassic Coast zu entdecken oder Spaziergänge in der Nähe zu machen. Nach Ausflügen zu Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door und Chesil Beach war es wunderbar, anschließend wieder in diese ruhige und gemütliche Unterkunft zurückzukommen.
Emma ist eine tolle Gastgeberin – herzlich, aufmerksam und mit vielen guten Tipps. Die Willkommensüberraschung mit Cookies, Milch und Prosecco war eine sehr liebevolle Geste und hat uns das Gefühl gegeben, willkommen zu sein.
Und dann war da noch die Tischtennisplatte! Wir hatten seit Jahren nicht mehr gespielt und wieder jede Menge Spaß dabei.
Die Orangery ist eine dieser Unterkünfte, bei denen man beim Abfahren schon überlegt, wann man wiederkommen kann. Wir würden sie jederzeit weiterempfehlen!
Der Klassiker, den wir oft in Häusern mit Waschmaschine erleben. Es gibt keine Wäschewanne und keine ideale Möglichkeit, die Wäsche im Freien zu trocknen. Das ist aber so schnell gelöst, dass die nächsten Gäste sicher überhaupt keinen Grund mehr finden, hier einen Punkt anzumerken. Sehr aufmerksam war, dass es genug Waschmittel-Tabs gegeben hat, auch keine Selbstverständlichkeit.
