The Perch team always attended to all our crazy requests to complete satisfaction. The sea view from the casitas & the breakfast leave a great aftertaste. 🙌🏼👍😀

Only thing missing is a kitchen / chef / restaurant to make meals … but they more then compensated with no extra charge for ordering from any restaurant of our choice.

The views were spectacular. From our room and also from the pool/breakfast deck. The staff were fantastic. Nicah and Kim were always cheerful and helpful and all the guys driving the shuttle were great. One of them came up with us to give us the run through on what to do to register for the Zipline which was only about 100m from the hotel. Somewhere it said you could walk down to the beach but this isn't really realistic. But, there are 2 cars to ferry you up and down from the shopping centre/McDonalds and were never more than a few minutes wait. From McDonalds you can catch a Tuktuk into El Nido for 200 pisos or walk through to the beautiful Marimegmeg beach.The bed was very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast had a good selection. The wifi and aircon was really good too. It was pretty special to have a swim in the pool looking at that view. The water is probably too warm and the pool is quite shallow, but being set high there is usually a breeze once you get out to cool you down. Being only 6 rooms in total most of the time we felt we were the only ones there. We shared a bottle of wine while having a swim looking out at the vista one evening about 9-10pm. The staff were there when we needed something but blended into the background to allow us to enjoy the moment to ourselves. Very memorable

There is no TV in the rooms which is usually an issue for my wife. However, she was content watching movies on a laptop at this hotel. There are quite a few relatively steep steps to get to and from the rooms, which didn't bother us but it is worth considering if you have mobility issues. There is no on site restaurant for dinner. They do have menus there for a few of the local places that will deliver. Order early as most close by 7pm. We loved the food from Marimegmeg Beach Club. We went down a couple of nights to have a sunset dinner on the beach from their beach front bar.

Perch delivered an unforgettable experience for my now‑fiancée and me. Our stay felt truly special from start to finish — warm, thoughtful, and far beyond anything we expected. The team made our proposal trip feel seamless, personal, and incredibly meaningful, turning an already important moment into something even more memorable. Nothing - It was perfect.

The whole team is very nice and helpful. Rose even assited us with booking private tours, which were both great. Thanks again so much for that! The shuttle from McDonalds uphill works very well (unless you don't have a working internet connection down at Vanilla beach). It is also possible to walk, but it is very steep and strenuous. The brekfast was always generous and very tasty! The view from the pool area is nice. We enjoyed a drink up there more than once during our stay.

The villas do overlook Marimegmeg beach, but also a dirt road, (farm-)houses etc. So there is not only a view of palm trees and ocean. I don't think this is clear only from the pictures you find on booking.com. The zipline right next to the villas can be bothersome, especially if the people scream loudly. But for us, that was not really a problem, as the zipline only operates from about 8 am to 5 pm. But we were bothered by the noise during the night: There are a lot of stray dogs that bark, fight etc. during the night. If you are a light sleeper, this will probably bother you. Additionally, there are a lot of roosters crowing (not only during the day, but also at night). This made it very hard for us to sleep (even with earplugs). Every night, we would wake up several times due to the noises around. Lastly, I wanted to mention that there is no complete wall between the bedroom and the bathroom. So if you value your privacy while on the toilet, this accomodation might not be for you.
