Welcome to The Red Star Cabin! This charming and cozy cabin is nested on the side of Cartwright Mountain just above Lake Fort Smith. This area of the Ozark Mountains offers plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as hiking, fishing, swimming, boating and kayaking. The cabin is centrally located to many amazing State parks such as Lake Fort Smith, Devils Den & White Rock. This is an ideal place not only to enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities but also close enough to enjoy all that Fayetteville or Fort Smith has to offer Historic Garrison Avenue, Judge Parker's Museum, The Marshals Museum, Razorback games, Dickson Street, wonderful restaurants and festivals. The cabin has a rustic charm with modern amenities making it the perfect blend of comfort and nature. ***The property is located on a dirt road that is steep. In the winter months when it is snowy or icy a 4 wheel drive vehicle may be necessary. If you are pulling a large trailer a 4 wheel drive vehicle may be necessary.

My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon & the cabin was more than we expected. Very quite and beautiful country scenery. We both love to cook and found the kitchen very well equipped. The hot tub on the porch was nice to relax in after hikes on the beautiful local trails in the mountains. Quite mornings with coffee on the deck listening to the birds sings. Our first day there rained & it was so peaceful to set on the covered deck & watch the rain fall before going inside & snuggling on the couch to watch a movie. Would definitely stay here again if our travels take us back that way. 10 out of 10 experience in the cabin & communication with the owner.

Perfect hot tub for two my wife and I loved it. Didn’t get to use the fire pit but will next time we stay. Great place to bring groceries and just not leave for a few days. The kitchen was amazing. The bed was comfy. We cannot wait to go back.
