We spent two wonderful nights at Il Giardino Segreto and truly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome, and we were genuinely impressed by the apartment.
The welcome was very friendly and the check-in information was clear and extensive. The only small confusion was with the mobile phone numbers displayed at the entrance, as one of them leads to voicemail. Once we called the other number, everything was quickly sorted out.
The apartment itself is spacious, beautifully designed and feels almost brand new. The bathroom and shower are fantastic, the beds are comfortable, and the apartment has everything you need for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
The location is another big plus. It is only a few minutes' walk into the beautiful centre of Cividale, while several excellent wineries and wine-tasting locations are just a short drive away. For us, it was an ideal base for exploring the area.
As the apartment feels so new, we had the impression that a few small finishing touches are perhaps still being completed. A small shelf or holder in the shower would be very useful for toiletries and a holder for toilet paper. We also noticed that, unlike the other apartments we stayed in during our trip, there was no shampoo or shower gel provided. It also looks as though TV connections have been prepared in the bedroom, although there is currently no TV. Maybe a advice: add felt pads under the chairs; we felt that sliding the chairs made a lot of noise.
These are only small details, though, and they certainly did not take away from our overall experience. We really enjoyed our two nights here and thought the combination of the beautiful apartment, fantastic location and very good price was excellent.
A lovely place to stay in Cividale — we would happily come back and definitely recommend Il Giardino Segreto!

Gigantische Lage. Ruhiger Innenhof, Fahrradabstellmöglichkeit (Werkzeug und Luftpumpe vorhanden).
In zwei Minuten über die Ponte Diavolo im Zentrum.
Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet.
Waschmaschine inklusive Waschmittel vorhanden; alles sehr gepflegt.
Kostenfreie Parkplätze in weniger als einer Minute erreichbar.
Das einzige Manko, waren fehlende Haken im Bad um etwas aufzuhängen und Abstellfläche für Pfegeartikel.

La posizione della struttura é eccezionale. Il ponte del Diavolo (e quindi il centro di Cividale) é proprio dietro l'angolo. L'appartamento era molto ben equipaggiato e strutturato in modo adeguato. La cucina aveva la lavastoviglie ed un piccolo congelatore, mentre all'interno dell'appartamento c'era pure una lavatrice. L'aria condizionata ci ha poi alleviato il soggiorno, durante le caldi giornate estive. Sicuramente da consigliare quale punto di partenza per visitare Cividale ed i suoi dintorni, ma anche per visitare la Slovenia ed il resto del Friuli.
