The location was excellent we arrived in Lille at the International station we bought a 10 ticket metro card usable to 2 travellers.
We travelled 2 stops on the metro and walked 3 minutes , within 5 minutes of the apartment there were an Aldi , a carrefour city ,a monprix and an excellent boulangerie.
We walked to most tourist attractions which were mostly within a 15 minute walk with the Citadelle only a 25 minute walk.
For places like Villa Carvois and La Piscine museum we used trams / metros.
The apartment was fully supplied with everything needed including a kitchen with oven hob microwave and fridge freezer and the bed was very comfortable.
The TV and wifi were excellent with 500meg wifi!!
The Apartment is in an historic street with the entrance portico dating from 1675 with the apartments dating we believe from 1622 , there are 3 flight stairs up to the apartment as you would expect in a building of this age.
There is a stunning rooftop terrace with a comfortable seating area and a view of the Bellfroi that we went up and could see the terrace from the top!!
We will absolutely book again when we return to Lille

Close to city centre, great sized apartment
Incredibly uncomfortable bed and pillows (first place I’ve ever stayed that didn’t have proper standard pillows, only flat European pillows) and rudeness from owner when I asked if there were any capsules for the washing machine (other reviews said they were provided) and she no and that I should have told her that it was important to me..didn’t realise I had to explain that washing capsules/powder was important to me when booking a place with a washing machine..
(She did however, drop some to our front door afterwards, just would have appreciated a nicer attitude)
