Big and clean kitchen. Plenty of storage facility for your food. Good wifi connection

Room heating was not working properly. Cold air blew from the air vents inside the room

I loved that heating and a clean big kitchen. Family room was awesome plus the movie room. Kids loved it and was heaps of space in and outside to move around.

That wr had to pay 3 dola for pool table lol may be 2 a game so we can play more.

Price is good for the facilities. Location is good. Warm and cosy rooms. Kitchen is very good! Public showers are nice and hot.

Beddings were not fresh in room 20( bunkbeds) and small space. Shower room was cold and had poor water pressure in room 4 ( luxury room)

Regarding the facilities, the lodge is basic and adequate for sleeping after visiting the mountain. It is close to Whakapapa valley, warm with hot showers, and provides functional kitchen facilities. We noted recent property updates, including new billiards, signage, and food labeling.

We booked a multi-night stay (July 24–26) and checked in around 10pm Friday night. At 9:31 AM Saturday—while away on a scheduled mountain activity—we received a text message requiring a room transfer to a different room by 10:00 AM, less than 12 hours after check-in, with no prior notice given at check-in or via messaging. ​When we communicated that returning within 30 minutes was operationally impossible, staff responded confrontationally, stating "if I were nice, they could have kept us on the same room" and attributing the internal logistics failure to Booking.com. I just asked why are we being moved when we booked for 2 days and requested not to touch our things until we come back in the afternoon. Customer communication standards require significant improvement. Due to the hostile response to a standard logistical challenge at the start of our holiday, the mood was ruined, and we felt uncomfortable throughout the rest of our stay, fearing further confrontation. ​As repeat guests with three bookings here since last year, we adhere strictly to property rules. While stays operate adequately when no assistance is required, we will not be returning and advise future guests to be prepared for potential mid-stay room reassignments and unaccommodating communication.
