To have Bayeux Catherdral at our windowsill, the bell tower pealing throughout the day and a wonderfully historic city centre on our doorstep was a perfect introduction to this lovely part of France. The only thing missing was the famous Tapestry, but that's hardly Jérôme's fault! He was a friendly and communicative host and his property well equipped, comfortable and charming. Be aware there are two flights of steepish and narrow stairs to climb, and the odd head hazard for the careless in this historic pitched roof apartment, but the effort is more than compensated for by the charm and privacy, views and facility of this home away from home. After more than a month on the road, the commodious laundry/bathroom was much appreciated and the provision of dryng rack, ironing facilities and hairdryer meant we could refresh ourselves for our daily forays into this pretty town and fascinating region. Couldn't recommend more highly.
Maybe an extra tea towel or two for those of us who self cater and a non slip mat for the shower to improve safety, but otherwise everything we needed was available.

Location is ideally situated close to train station (10 min walk) and in center of town directly across from Notre Dame cathedral. Efficient apartment and extremely clean. We were aware of the 2 flights of stairs. No problem. Comfortable bed in a nice sized bedroom. Living room area also spacious. Excellent communication with owner.
