The host are wonderfull, we felt so welcomed and well taken care of. They provided support, care and all needed information. They also liason for a very nice guide for a both trip. They have presented all options we have in the area (activities, restaurants, etc.) and with any info we needed. They also helped us with the transportation in the last day which we appreciated a lot. We could also use the laundry service for a very good price. The garden is lovely and the monkeys and birds passing by are adding to a very unique and memorable stay. We could use a kitchen for anything we may need. The room size is good and we have everything we needed in the room. They also gave us lots of support stuff to deal with mosquitos ;) The music at breakfest was soo lovely and the homemade juice (hisap) was amazing too! We felt like home in their place and in the town itself - we wish to come back.
Maybe, to add for some days an egg for breakfest. For salty breakfest people after a few days is a bit limiting.

Le Margouillat in Toubacouta exceeded our expectations! We—a group of five friends—were very happy to find this neat and clean place, offering large rooms, great utilities, and a beautiful garden with patio. The breakfast, too, was great, offering croissants and local baguettes fresh from the bakery, as well as a range of spreads / jams to choose from. The hosts and staff met us with a warm welcome, and the owner was so kind to transport us to the Gambia border himself after our stay, for which we are very grateful. We would absolutely stay here again on a next visit!
Though fans, air conditioning and scented incense go a long way keeping mosquitoes out, the little buggers are plentiful in the region and we would have liked the option of mosquito nets to cover our beds. A minor comment, but we did some excursions for which we felt like we probably paid the guides a bit much. We got in touch with excursion guides via our hosts, and would perhaps have benefitted it if our hosts gave us a reference price range beforehand, to ensure fair pricing.
